Joy was the toughest to make to date, but without a doubt the most rewarding to share yet.
I fear I might have made it harder than it could have been, but when you’re lucky to have people in your corner who believe in us like we do you are made to feel like impossibilities are not only possible but attainable.
Meg, you inherited a good deal of my manic head and never once did you stop encouraging or supporting me. You’ll never know just how lucky I feel to have you by my side, but I hope you know I’ll never leave yours.
Seanie, to work side by side with you after having been friends for two decades created some of the most fulfilling moments I’ve ever had in the studio, and even when I was spiraling or tearing things apart you never wavered. Thank you for caring as much as we do and helping shape our most complete record to date.
TK, Lupe, Kyle, Keller, Mikey, Photo Finish, our families and friends, and all my dogs who grind every day out here on the road to make these shows happen, you all don’t get nearly the credit you deserve, but I hope you know just how much we love and appreciate all of you. If all it takes is one person to believe in you for you to believe in yourself, this is what it looks like when you have a village.
I also had the privilege of writing with some old pals and new friends that taught me more than they know.
