My best bud in the world is 1 today!! He’s the happiest, chillest, most perfect boy I could have ever asked for. I could go on for hours about how much he’s changed my life and just how proud I am of him because he’s just the most special thing ever to me. Austin Forkner sidelined following Houston crash.
After his fall during Press Day, the Missouri native sustained a fracture to his left hand and will be placed in a cast for the next two weeks. The injury will be assessed on a week-by-week basis moving forward.

Not the greatest A2, got taken out on lap 1 of the main and then riding was just decent after that. Definitely underestimated how much my kidney would hurt this weekend so that was a little rough, had to break out the kidney belt. Also that’s my bad for getting in the leaders way on the last lap, I had just been battling with Shane so when I saw a red bike I thought it was him and it took me longer than it should’ve to realize it wasn’t. Thanks to the team, onto Houston

Pretty decent start to the season. I was caught in the crash with Malcom and barcia and then I had a front brake problem on the restart that I had to pull over and mess with cause it was dragging and locking up in the air over the big jumps, so I lost a bunch of spots from that. That issue aside, I wish I would’ve managed the main event a little better, I would get caught up in battles with other guys to much or make a mistake and spike my heart rate then have to take a couple laps to recover. I had a pretty good pace at different times throughout the race just needed to continue at that pace and not have as many of the bad laps. But overall I think we’re in a pretty good spot and we can definitely build from here.
