I've heard from so many of you about what you love about our waterfront and what is at risk with the Provincial Government's move to forcibly take City land with no say from you.
I'm proud that City Council passed my and @mayoroliviachow 's motion to stand up for the people of Toronto, we stand with Torontonians and firmly demand, and deserve, a seat at the table.
As a City, we’ve worked hard to keep making our waterfront a vibrant and sustainable place to live, work, learn, visit, and enjoy.

And of course my team for organizing and bringing us all together!
I'm concerned about the closure of Hanlan's Point Beach, and have requested options to recognize ecological sensitivity and remain accessible. Decisions like this must be made in consultation with community in advance.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Youth Employment Readiness event this week! I’ve heard from youth and families in our community that they are looking for support and preparation in finding work. With support from the City’s Community Development and Social Services team and @torontohousing , we ran workshops on building resumes, preparing for interviews, and skills building. Thanks to all the staff and participants who made it happen and @thebentway for hosting us!
