“but whichever place I went, please return to the economy of the dying, and all its false memories awash with gene expression all the ways information can be hurt whatever the cold did remains as memory when forgetting could have meant survival it is becoming visible — to where, if not, winter just in time for the beginning of the world” Lotte L.S.’s stunning “Ends: ‘selected poems’” is now available. “It isn’t about resolution, but about dwelling in its apertures… Where counterworlds are already underway: trees trading messages underground; democratic institutions collapsing under their own contradictions; the sensual and resistant body,” writes Stacy Szymaszek in her preface to “Ends.” Having published largely in DIY and ephemeral zines that are hard if not impossible to find, this book gathers Lotte’s poems since 2017 and also marks her first book publication in the US. “Ends” is published in collaboration with a UK edition by Veer2 Lotte L.S. is a poet. Her work includes THIS ENERGY WASTED BY FLIGHT— (Pamenar Press, 2023) and A town, three cities, a fig, a riot, two blue hyacinths, three beginnings, five letters, a “death”, two solitudes, façades, four loose dogs, a doppelgänger, a likeness, three airport floors, thirty-six weeks… (Tripwire, 2020). Her work has been translated from English into Greek, German, French and Russian. She was the 2019 recipient of the C.D. Wright Memorial Scholarship to Community of Writers in Nevada, US. “There is a word at which those who See no further go no further and Those who’ve seen further can’t fall back” We are enormously excited to announce the publication of WHAT, Robert Kocik’s first new book of poetry since 2007. Written alongside and co-constitutive of his longstanding, multifaceted exploration into the arts of Prosody, this book, comprised of ten sections of poems, is a testament to the evolution of Kocik’s practice over the last decade. Orders are now available at auricpress.com Robert Kocik is a poet, prosodist, trans-disciplinary essayist, teacher, artist and designer/builder who lives in Brooklyn. In 2006, working collaboratively with choreographer Daria Faïn, Kocik initiated a field of research called the Prosodic Body, an experiential artscience that explores prosody (the tone, tempo, intention, intensity and total body language of speech) in relation to movement, bioprocesses and health. In 2008 he cofounded The Commons Choir, a multi-lingual/racial/generational performing group that draws on the findings of the prosody research and presents socially charged operatic and educational events. Kocik writes the scripts and librettos for the choir and constructs installations and sets to accompany choir presentations. Architecturally, he seeks out projects in need, projects with a purpose, social vision or beneficial mission, using methods that countervail the usual violence of construction and exclusivity of the architectural process by working regionally with local materials and crews, traditional skills, and site-built furnishings. Previous books include Supple Science: A Robert Kocik Primer (ON Contemporary Practice, 2013) and Rhrurbarb (Field Books, 2007), among others. A new volume of essays, The Prosody Book, is forthcoming from auric press.

Welcome to our 🔎 More About 🔎 series and celebrate with us the small presses, authors, and books from our Small Press Subscription Program! Our first small press, author, and book from the June Bundle, which you can sign up for by May 15th [link in profile], is… 📚 auric press 📚 “auric press is a poet-run small publishing project started by Tessa Bolsover and Michael Cavuto in Queens, NY in 2020. We publish hand-bound chapbooks, full length poetry collections, and letterpress broadsides with an emphasis on community and intergenerational conversations that might not otherwise take place. Lotte L.S.'s Ends: 'selected poems' is our seventh publication, and we have projects forthcoming from Nicole Wallace, manuel arturo abreu, Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola, and Robert Kocik.” ✨ Lotte L.S. ✨ Lotte L.S. is a poet. Her work includes ENDS: ‘selected poems’ (auric press, 2025), THIS ENERGY WASTED BY FLIGHT— (Pamenar Press, 2023), and A town, three cities, a fig, a riot, two blue hyacinths, three beginnings, five letters, a “death”, two solitudes, façades, four loose dogs, a doppelgänger, a likeness, three airport floors, thirty-six weeks… (Tripwire, 2020). She lives in the UK, where she prints, publishes and distributes writing with red herring press. 📅 Ends: ‘selected poems’ (2025) 📅 The buoyant and disruptive poems of this book are a wonder to read. To describe this, we sample here from Stacy Szymaszek’s “Preface” to the book: ”There are poems that witness and document the ruinous toll of empire on living worlds, and there are poems that actively disrupt the systems they interrogate. Lotte L.S.’s Ends: ‘selected poems’ belongs to the latter category. This disruption requires, as a starting point, a language infused with vitality—to fight the notion that language (or poetry itself) is dead.” Check out our full micro-interview with Lotte in the comments below! ~~~ @lotte.ls @auricpress #SmallPressPublishing #SmallPressSubscription #Poetry

Announcing our two late summer publications: a new full-length, Lotte L.S.’s “Ends: ‘selected poems,’” gathering Lotte’s hard-to-find poems published over the last few years in small pamphlets and DIY journals; and a hand sewn chapbook, “Circulation-“, by Riley Ratcliff, the poet’s first. Both books are now available for pre-orders in a discounted bundle, as well as special editions + broadsides of each title. Individual orders will be available when books start shipping out in the coming weeks. It has been a short hiatus since our last publication, not for lack of incredible & important poetry to publish, but as we follow the ever-elastic temporality of small press work. And we’re excited to share that we’ve returned to our origins, and auric is once again based in New York City. Stay tuned for more news from us coming soon, including information about Lotte L.S.’s fall visit to the US and readings we’ll be hosting in early October. And more books on the way… Lotte L.S. is a poet.
