Introducing:
Mateusz Śmigasiewicz is a Polish sound artist, composer, and musician working across instrumental and electronic music. He creates works for a wide range of ensembles as well as live electronic performances. His practice balances a deep exploration of sound as a physical phenomenon with an evocation of mystery, searching for hidden meanings that often reside in the subconscious.
Afterspaces is a new album by Mateusz Śmigasiewicz that explores diverse states of musical matter, combining synthetic soundscapes with virtual keyboard instruments. Each track becomes a site for the creation of new, abstract sonic spaces. The album is filled with dense textures and vivid instrumental expression, creating an immersive experience charged with tension, mystery, and ecstasy.

aemlx’s “apotropaic activity” is inspired by the concept of anti-music and ceremonial uproar - acoustic practice initiated for apotropaic purposes, that is to chase away the evil forces and introduce a reversed reality. the compositions are centered around the sound of burczybas - a Kashubian* ritual friction drum, inviting to a sonic cyberchurch experience of deconstructed echos of ancient traditions
