Join Alec J. and Sick Stories for an insightful webinar on sustainable art practice and growth!
With the many forces that push artists and creatives towards hyper-productivity, it's easy to feel like we're not doing enough to keep up without being driven into cycles of burnout.
Alec talks us through their practices for developing a sustainable approach to learning and making art, developed over years of learning how to live and work with βrather than againstβ disability and chronic illness.
This webinar will be delivered as an online workshop with a Q&A moderated by Sick Stories, and will include a break. It is PWYC starting at $1, with a suggested cost of $10 to honour the time of the facilitator and running fees for Sick Stories.
Closed captions (automatic) will be enabled throughout the whole session.
This will be presented over Zoom via screen sharing. There is no expectation for attendees to be on camera or use voice chatting over other means of communication.
If cost is a barrier, feel free to reach out. The link to sign-up is in our bio!

Alec J. (they/them) is a Korean-Canadian digital illustrator. Their image-crafting is driven by a passionate love of learning, informed by their multiply-marginalized experience, and explores musings and reflections on reality through the lens of (magical) realism. Alec is currently distilling sensitive perspectives into slightly more articulate paintings, and taking many breaks to eat snacks and read in the shade.
