In our last edition of the AUG, we've teamed up with @elettrabargiacchi who works in both film sound & sound design. In her talk she gave insights to an industry which remains invisible to most of us. It was very interesting to see the what actually happens behind the curtains of a movie post production. _The Sound of Film – An Overview of Audio Post-Production with Elettra Bargiacchi 29/04 Doors: 20:00 Distillery x Ableton User Group Leipzig In this talk, Elettra walks you through the full audio post-production pipeline of a film: from dialogue editing to Foley, sound design and the final mix. She will break down each stage of the process, showing how sound is not just a technical layer but a storytelling tool - one that shapes emotion and carries meaning across every scene. There will also be space to explore how music and sound interweave, and how emerging technologies like NGA (Next Generation Audio) may change the future of the craft. Elettra Bargiacchi is a sound designer, composer and musician. Born in Italy and based in Leipzig, she works in audio post-production for international film and podcast productions. She holds a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar and an Advanced Diploma in Audio Post-Production from Abbey Road Institute, London. She is an IHK certified post-production supervisor and an Avid certified Pro Tools Professional for Audio Post-Production. In collaboration with the University of Surrey and BBC R&D, she has authored papers on next-generation audio. She is a member of the VDT R&D Department. Web: /

Kønnë has been part of the AUG crew for some years now and mainly focuses on building ive setups. Over the years he developed his sound which is characterized by minimalistic & hypnotic patterns, but also ambient techno.

Motor Goth is an experiment in heavy music. It takes the classic solo stomp blues scheme of kick, guitar and vocals but wraps it up in industrial sound design. Bit-crushed fuzz-guitar-doom, the pitched-down voice of an electric demon haunted by swarms of random grain-delay stutters, and all of it whipped into place by a kick drum that will make your nose bleed. Come and get some!

Losifer saw first light during a notorious attic party in the east of Leipzig on a halloween night. After spawning only on that cursed occasion for a while he is now taking hold of the wider city. At home in high volumes be it punk shows or warehouse raves, he forges dark mysticism and burning rage into the sound of both of these worlds, screaming at the top of his lungs to the hardcore born from where mean surf guitars create the rocknroll backdrop and percussive infernos meet distorted synthesis to leave a melancholy afterglow.

Leipzig based artist GRIMM uses synthesizer, keyboard, voice and drums simultaneously to create loud and epic tracks between synthwave, doom and electronica. Emotionally devastating, rhythmically challenging and fucked up, it is everything all at once.

Namlitt's Sound is defined by deep, spherical tracks and driving grooves. His influences range from Dubtechno to contemporary Tooltechno. Namlitts Sound definiert sich durch deepe sphärische Tracks und treibende Grooves. Die Einflüsse reichen dabei von Dubtechno bis hin zu zeitgenössischem Tooltechno. (@nebulakollektiv )
