New reissue tweed cases for my Gretsch babies. After years of cases taking the knocks, (including flipping the station wagon onto its roof and then back on its wheels and smashing into a ditch after a blowout on the deadly Hume, the case was wrecked but the only damage on my ‘65 Tennessean was a bent bottom strap pin) I now arrive at gigs daggily neat. Barb waters trio on at 5pm today Women’s Refuge Center fundraiser at the Lomond Hotel. I’ll be the one with brand new stickerless cases.

In the mid 80s my fam bought me an all red Yamaha strat neck and headstock were red too, very 80s. I haven’t played it in 35 years but it’s been under beds and in sheds of 15 different houses. I took it to Anthony at @harvesterguitars and gave him free agency. He punked the hell out of it with some cool tricks. It lives again as a hybrid Harvester.

Much of the amazing music scene in Melbourne has been nurtured by volunteers who turn up week after week putting on ace shows spreading our songs and culture, for two weeks we get to give a bit back.
