The Audi S6 e-tron sportback is a refined, smooth and comfortable drive with a surge of acceleration when needed. But I’m not convinced the range really needs an S model, except for branding purposes. It makes 543ps in launch control with a 0-62mph of under 4 seconds, but the regular A6 e-tron is no slouch at 462ps and 0-62mph of 4.5s - and saves you several thousands of £€$. There’s no wonder Audi’s latest CEO cancelled the RS version - there’s just no point in buying really sporty EVs unless, as one follower said, “it has 1000hp” or designed to be a sporty car, like the upcoming Concept C. That being said, the Audi got over 260 kWh at the fast charger which whacked on a 100 miles of range in just a few minutes, the fastest I’ve seen on any car I’ve tried, and reached 325 miles on a full charge - very good but less than the advertised 400. So if you’re looking for a good size EV that can charge super-fast, have a decent range and drive fast but VERY predictably, then the A6 e-tron Quattro is probably good enough for you. #audi #audis6etron

A beautiful spring day with the RS e-tron GT Performance. While based on the Porsche Taycan, it’s a better looking EV in my view, and far more exclusive (ie it sold less but hey, whatever 😅). Boost mode is more stomach churning than the morning after a Taco Bell, but there’s no denying the less than 2.5s to 60mph is a constant thrill. Now let’s focus on the interior of the new Audi RS 5 - as you’ll know by now, Audi has been listening and replaced the awful revised RS logo which you all told me you hated with the previous one. The new interiors are still not universally liked and this is an area where Audi will still need to listen to customers!
The new RS 5 Avant and Sedan have been revealed! This is Audi Sport’s first-ever high-performance plug-in hybrid with 470 kW (639 PS) of system output via a 2.9 litre V6 and 130kw electric motor. It has an optional top speed of 285 km/h (177mph) and day-to-day driving more than 80 km on electric power alone in the city.
You don’t have to look closely to see it is around nine centimeters wider than the base-model A5 at both ends. The darkened Matrix LED headlightsand their digital day-time-running-light signature in a checkered-flag design reinforce the sportiness.
Of course there’s an option… the Audi Sport package for the new RS 5 Avant and RS 5 Sedan is the epitome of sportiness. It adds exclusive elements like bespoke, dynamic front and rear bumpers as well as two-tone diamond-cut phantom black 21-inch wheels with matte accents. An RS sport exhaust system and the raised top speed of 285 km/h ensure even more performance. The exclusive interior features contrast stitching in Serpentine green and brass for the first time. The package also offers a broad range of customization options, including Bedford green metallic paint. RS ceramic brakes with bronze-colored calipers and carbon camouflage elements complete the look.
In Germany, the Audi RS 5 Sedan with 470 kW of system output is available at a starting price of 106.200 euros while the RS 5 Avant starts at 107.850 euros.

Immediately, when there was a briefing before I actually saw the car, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the classic RS logo with the good ol’ magical font on the screen. Gone is the tasteless and emotionless new font that nobody liked. This is huge that Audi listened to the criticism and reverted back to what made them great. I was so happy about this that I shared a few tears.
