Join Drumheads Samba band!
We will be rehearsing every Wednesday through May to get ready!
June will be full of Worthing festival fringe events in local venues, leading up to the Worthing Festival itself in Homefield Park on the 20th and 21st of June.
Drumheads will be putting on two dynamic public performances for the festival, on June 6th and on June 20th
June 6th, 2pm - 4pm:
Drumheads Samba Carnival Procession and Portland Road Party.
Kicking off the Worthing Festival Fringe, Drumheads Samba band will be performing a Samba drumming carnival style procession in collaboration with the Spring into Soul Gospel choir and other local artists and musicians. Starting outside Coast Cafe, winding through the heart of Worthing town, and ending up at the Portland Rd Party, where there will be bands performing on an outside stage, food stalls and much fun.
June 20th, 11 - 12 noon:
We will be putting on a samba procession from the green behind Coast cafe to Homefield Park to herald the opening of the Worthing Festival proper!
If you're interested in being involved, get in touch. Come along for a taster session (£10) to see if you like it, or book in for the whole 4 week block (£40)
Really looking forward to supporting the mighty Gyratory Allstars on Friday June 5th at Audioactive Worthing. This band have been championed by Craig Charles, Stuart Maconie and Norman J and definitely worth checking out. Tickets are just £10 / 8nus and you get to see us do our thing too. Over 14s allowed entry if accompanied by a parent or guardian. See you there 🙌
