Inspiration for the cinematography was Bladerunner and Citizen Kane, two of my top 5 favorite movies. I approached this project with such reckless abandon I wish I still possessed. Somehow procured a moving steam engine train, shot at Union Station, location from the original Bladerunner and got a real film archive for not a lot of money. You’d be surprised by what people say yes to if you just ask. Why do the years make you more cautious? I wish to be recklessly ambitious again.

Random life milestone: officially inducted into the Adventurer’s Club of Los Angeles. You know, the same club Roald Amundsen and Cecil B. DeMille were in. No big deal… just casually in the same club as polar explorers and Hollywood legends.

How very surreal. I’ll believe it when I’m on set but for now let’s keep dreaming. Beyond excited to shoot this film in LA and to share the more interesting lesser known parts of the magnificent city I love.
So damn lucky to have such a stellar team behind this project. Sexy dream cast @kellymarietran and @dastmalchian (who is also producing with his company @goodfiendofficial ). Producers Josh Feldman, Sean King O’Grady, Jesse Ford, Juel Taylor and Tony Rettenmaier. But most of all my ride or die @tonyrett who this would not be possible without. You believed in me since day 1 and never faltered even when I had trouble believing in myself.
