Hello fellow travelers I’ve released a new song, “Fulcrum Blue”. This song was written at the beginning of June when I was heavily reflecting on my life, aspirations, and general reality. At the core of it, it’s a meditation on what younger me would feel about older me, but I’ll get into the nitty gritty of the piece in my first email blog post.

I’m 25 today 🙊🙊
Here are some pictures from this last weekend. I have more but I’ll drop those as time goes on.
I wanted to drop an A-side, B side single in honor of this anniversary. Both of these songs were made during a two week span where I was just cranking out songs. The others will eventually see the light but I’m waiting until I feel like an actual project is in order. 5. Astronaut Barbie. The subject matter sort of popped into my head after the Barbie movie soundtrack dropped and I thought Hmmmmm if I had been tapped to make a song for the soundtrack, how would it sound? So this was really a soundtrack moment not talking about myself (necessarily) but of a concept. The concept of a BARBIE. And of course it wouldn’t be me if the musical backdrop wasn’t nestled in space somewhere. @ Greta gerwig🫣🫣🫣 6. Honey(bee). I’ve been trying to expand my songwriting palette to include actual hooks🤣. And I’d made a pact with myself that I wanted to make more futuristic neo-soul specific type songs. This is a result of a lot of Bridgerton (episode 3 iykyk), a lot of Maxwell, a lot of Prince, chilleeee even the Bee movie 🥴🥴🫣. I wanted to write certain subject matter in a subtle way 😉. This was a labor of love.
The songs are very different in feel and genre but that’s what I want for my discography. I refuse to be constrained by genres we just making musicccc. 7. Astronaut Barbie vibe. 8. Honey vibe. 9. Carvel icecream cake because yum!

Here’s a very tiny snippet it’s unmixed so I was not about to harangue yalls ears with a longer clip.
3: I made the beat some random night in March and pretty much forgot about it. Then the Barbie trailer dropped and that same day I listened to all of the songs on my hard drive and it was like a light went off. This felt like a PERFECT song to relate to the Barbie aesthetic. I take huge inspiration from film, tv, and literature when making my music because those are the things that make me tingle. And so when writing this song and expanding it, I created it in the mindset of being a song for the trailer. This one is for the GURLSSSSSS.
4: “Honey Bee” another short snippet because it’s unmixed.
5: I made this track during a week where I was just cranking out music back to back. I swore I was Pharrell 🤣🤣🤣. I kept rewatching Bridgerton season 2 like I am entirely too gagged. Kate and Anthony ???? Babyyyyyy so that’s what sparked the initial lyric and I built the landscape from there, in conversation with my own life. The song is about…well…👩🏿🦯👩🏿🦯🫣

One year vs One month
Babyyyyyy I began my time on the internet (back when I was a digital girlie) as a loc girlie and writer. I cut my locs and then after two years of exploring loose natural hair I thought 🫣🫣it’s time. Soooo I wanted to update for any of the folks who followed me way back for my hair. I won’t be doing as many updates as I used to but still :)

Dropped a new joint “Mercury Landing” that I’ve been sitting on for a cool lil minute (a year 🥴🥴🥴).
The song has no genre but it’s an exploration of basic human tendencies.
It’s supposed to be an intro track but I feel like I need to stop hoarding music and just release stuff because 🤷🏿♀️there’s no value in perfection.
Regardless this track was alot of fun to make and stacked so many background vocals for literally no other reason than vibes. Wrote this at a time where existential crises were at an all time high.

I released a new song “Elemental Love”. Elemental Love is an experimental / ambient piece made in the tradition of the psychedelic genre. It is an exploration of the joy and initial fervor one (well I guess I can only speak for myself 🤣) experiences when they meet someone they instantly connect with. It’s a palate for an expanse where there is only room for love and for harmless doling. It’s an ode to outer space and the possibilities for tapping into your loving vices without constraint.
Essentially y’all it’s a lot going on and I very much enjoyed making it 🤣. And when I say it’s experimental it is forreal is so go in with out any expectations.
