Meet our āNice Guyā, Casey (aka Derek)! As soon as I was shown Caseyās headshot, I agreed heād be perfect for the role. There was some pretty ridiculous stuff we had in mind but, when the dream team that is @duendevisions started rolling, Casey committed to the bit.
I know nothing about acting so was nervous to work with someone who does it properly, but he was the most comfortable person to be around and helped to make the whole experience breezy. Thank you @audcasey for spending 5 hours on your feet in the most uncomfortable shoes, only to then be asked to crawl through mud/rain in all-white the next day and do it with zero complaints. You are truly the nicest guy šš
Just a few photos from our swamp tour. This Bascule bridge is set to be torn down. It was there 7 years ago when i did the tour and soon it will be gone. I just loved the old rusty look contrasting with the blue sky. I felt so calm out there even though there were hungry gators all around.
This is me completely relaxed sunning myself like a lizard on a rock. Nature resets my brain. It looks like sunbeams are directly healing me here and they were. We had a great visit at Cummins Falls.
These are only a few of the astounding and tragic displays at the World War II Museum in New Orleans. I certainly recommend going. It really gives you perspective. Also itās huge! Give yourself plenty of time.
I have really embraced cheffing lately-especially pastry chef cuisine. Iām really proud of myself for finding additional ways to feed my creative side. Pun intended. This is the Banana Boogie. It is a homemade snickerdoodle banana pudding ice cream sandwich. This may be a dessert that I make in the future for a bake sale. Should have posted this on 04/20 lol.

Last Sunday August 24th, 2025, my sweet Iggy boy passed over to the great beyond. Hizzy and I have been absolutely devastated since. His decline started about 6 months ago and he passed naturally at home in our arms. He was my world. I adopted him at 6 months old and he passed 14 years and 3 months to the day I adopted him. He was my constant through those years. My support. My love. My travel companion. We spent countless hours cuddling, sleeping, watching tv. I will never ever fill the void that my sweet precious Iggy has left in my heart. He was truly manās best friend. I know that he was a part of many your lives too. He said he loves you all and will see you soon. Heās already visited me in a dream and I truly believe my soul and his are intertwined. @hiza.lina_ and I will do our best to carry on and share the love of our sweet angel.

Last year I started making piƱatas for my nieceās and nephewās birthdays. Painting and drawing again has been has fed my urge to make things. I repurpose cardboard from previous purchases to make them which makes feel better too. I donāt think I will ever grow out of a the phase of loving to create. I sure hope not.
