As an editor, nothing is more fulfilling than creating a compelling story. Every issue of GQ Hong Kong features an editorial section called B-side. Recently, the March issue invited Art Bureau Advisory founders Ed Tang and Jonathan Cheung as guest editors under the theme of art. The issue spans over 50 pages, showcasing notable contemporary artists, sharing insights from founders of various Hong Kong galleries on promoting art and culture locally, and introducing Vitamin Creative Space, an art space near Guangzhou. It also features artist Danh Võ, who has long-term ties to the space and draws inspiration from gardens and landscapes. Additionally, the issue takes readers inside the homes of one of the most important contemporary art collectors, Obayashi-san.
In the past two issues, we also explored the development and future prospects of Hong Kong Sartorial, and paid tribute to Hong Kong icon Bruce Lee, sharing legendary stories from those connected to him and bridging Eastern and Western cultures. Asia’s first @Prada Caffè in Singapore! A curved glass façade featuring Prada’s iconic triangular motif defines the space, while black and white checkered flooring mirrors that of the Maison’s first boutique opened in 1913 at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. The Prada Caffè boasts a unique collection of tableware selected by the brand to complement the surrounding environment, from Prada-branded porcelain inspired by ancient Japanese celadon pottery to silver-plated cutlery.
