A full and absolutely amazing crowd, beautiful sunset, @deja_vu_party_band setting the mood, @amantipizza_ keeping everyone fed, and glasses flowing.
Together, we raised over $3,000 for @stars_of_barossa (who are supporting Spoke to a Bloke this year) through tickets and donations in Barbās honour.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to the amazing team who make these nights happen. Couldnāt do it without you. Barossa at its finest.

Grateful beyond words to so many of you who came along, helped, and shared in celebrating Barbās beautiful life yesterday ā from those who organised, baked, served food & wine, set up, played music, sent messages or flowers, helped with the service & committal, or simply got around us š
The love we felt and the music at sunset, said more than words ever can šøš¶

šŗ In Loving Memory of Barb Kalleske šŗ
We want to sincerely thank everyone for the incredible messages of love, prayer, and support weāve received. Your kindness has meant more to our family than words can say, and we are truly overwhelmed by your support.
Barbās funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 1:30 p.m. at St Petri Church, Nuriootpa, with the committal to follow at the Neukirch Cemetery ā so fittingly set on the vineyard and farm where Barb spent countless hours of her life working with love, enthusiasm, and absolute dedication to the land.
Itās hard to put into words how much we miss her ā and how impossible it feels to capture all that she did and all that she was in photos alone. From the vineyard rows to the office, from tractor driving and vineyard work to making platters, event planning, packaging, and keeping everything running smoothly ā Mum poured her love, humour, and dedication into every corner of her work life š
And that only scratches the surface compared to her love of life, travel, creativity, innovation, friendships, and, of course, her family. As one of Barbās colleagues said when we remarked that she had led an incredible life ā āthat is a huge understatement.ā
Weāll be paying a heartfelt tribute to Barbās life on the 18th, honouring her strength, joy, and all she gave to those around her. Please join us if you are able.
As the day draws to a close and the sun sets over the old vines, weāll be raising a glass of Grenache at the Cellar Door in her honour, accompanied by some of her favourite musicians ā a simple gesture for a woman whose warmth, generosity, and heart touched every part of life. šš
Last night, our beautiful Barb, passed away with family by her side after a brave and extremely difficult time with cancer. There are no words for how devastated we all are at her loss.
Barb poured her heart and soul into Atzeās Corner & our vineyards in so many ways ā she was a driving force behind creating our cellar door, and her warmth, courage, hard work and love are at the heart of everything we do.
In her honour, we will be keeping the cellar door closed today (Saturday).
Weāll share more in the days ahead as we pay tribute to her incredible life, but for now, we just want to say how much we love her, how proud we are of her strength & how much she will be missed š
ā Andy, John & family.
Wishing this legend Barb all the very best for her surgery next week š
After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer toward the end of Vintage, Barbābeing Barbājumped straight back on the tractor the same day to help finish harvest. š No fuss, just pure old-fashioned grit.
Her strength, hard work, and dedication to the family business shine through in everything she doesāwhether sheās out in the vineyard, in the office doing accounts & admin, welcoming guests in the Cellar Door, keeping the boys inline or putting together one of her marvellous platters š
Barb isnāt just part of the Atzeās Corner teamāsheās the absolute heart of it. Sheās deeply loved by all of us, and by so many of our beautiful customers whoāve come to know and adore her.
We feel incredibly grateful that Barb is in the smaller percentage of people with pancreatic cancer who are eligible for surgery. Our hearts also go out to anyone whoās been through something similar, or is currently facing their own health challenges. Whether itās now or in the past, weāre sending love and strength your way ā¤ļø
Weāll miss Barb immensely while she goes through treatment & recovers, but weāre already looking forward to having her back in the Cellar Door⦠and back on the tractor for next Vintage. As she said herself, sheāll be back āonce I get this business out the way!ā
š A big thank you to everyone who has shown their love, support, patience and their help stepping up for Barb so far. It means the world. And a special thank you, to her surgeon Tony & his medical team who have been super supportive & professional.
In the meantime, if you or someone you know has an RSA and can help with a shift or two in the Cellar Doorāand maybe knows their way around one of Barbās famous plattersāplease get in touch.
What a way to bring in Autumn (although itās a tad sad to say goodbye to Summer)!!šš š
An early harvest shot at first light on March 1st, the vineyard never fails to put on a show š
