I always knew that one day I’d get married and call my wife the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on. What I didn’t expect was that I’d actually mean it 😂. I thought it was just one of those safe, cliché lines married men throw around, but then God shocked me with the real thing. On this day last year I got married to the most beautiful woman I have laid my eyes on. I didn’t think one could actually get the full package either. I used to compartmentalize love and friendship. I naively never thought you could find both in its absoluteness in one person. I never thought a G could have his best friend and his wife in the same person, but somehow I did. Marriage, like any real relationship, has its highs and lows. There are days I make you so mad you don’t want to look at me, let alone talk to me. And yet, those days, hard as they are, only make the good days sweeter. They remind me of the gift I have in you, the way having a blocked nose and sore throat reminds you of the simple blessing of breathing easy. One year in, and I can say this with all my heart: I love it all. The great days, the good days, the bad days, the laughter, the lessons. I love you, my wife, my best friend, my gift from God. Here’s to year one, and all the years still ahead, by His grace. ❤️ #StupidlyLockedIn
