I finished Advent Children Tifa for Otafest in May but hadn't felt up to taking photos at the time. I wore her again for Edmonton Expo this Sunday and at the end of the day we took some photos at home.
(Actually first I drank a litre of water and took a short nap because 3 days of human interaction 😱 AND THEN we took some photos at home.)

Kids and wigs don't always mesh. When they are willing to wear one, it usually looks like a mess by the end of the day, so we are always looking for alternatives.

This wig was initially inspired by a Borderlands wig made by @schmemy some time ago. There's a really good write up on that on Tumblr if you'd like an actual tutorial.

Cloud's hair can appear very different from one reference to another so I gathered a few Advent Children screenshots, both of my Cloud Amiibo, and, as luck would have it, @nomes_cosplay had JUST posted some really great shots of a recent commission.

I used five 12" x 18" sheets of kids' craft foam, LePage Contact Cement, Rust-oleum FlexiDip, and cheap & old acrylic craft paint. I would guess that it only cost me about $10 to make, because I already have and use these supplies regularly.

I made @ryanrybot a Zero Suit Samus hoodie for his birthday!

I decided to make this at 10am. ON his birthday. FOR his birthday. I know he's a big fan of Metroid so I thought this would be a safe bet. It was either this or Samus' normal (?) red & yellow armour... I didn't even know where to start with that.

I had to simplify the design for the sake of time and fabric.
