Sadly, for many of our wrestlers, this past weekend was just that — their final match in a Freedom singlet. 😪
As Paola stepped off the mat, the last senior to wrestle, emotions ran high and the tears flowed… and flowed. There was sadness that the season had come to an end, combined with immense pride for every wrestler on this team. What they created this season was special. Not only did they make history multiple times, but they also built a unity that will set the example for generations of Freedom wrestlers to come.
To our seniors — thank you for everything you gave this season. Your leadership helped shape this team, and your legacy will always be part of Freedom Wrestling. We’ve cried together through the toughest moments and celebrated through the greatest of victories. It’s definitely not goodbye…
To our coaches — your dedication is beyond words. You give so much of yourselves, sacrificing time with your families. Please know it never goes unnoticed. And to your families, thank you for supporting them and understanding that wrestling truly runs through their veins and the difference they make in our children’s lives is immeasurable.
And finally, to our fellow parents — we’ve spent countless hours in those damn bleachers haha, supporting each other through our children’s greatest victories and toughest moments. The bond we’ve built is special, and the friendships formed through this journey will last far beyond this season.

Black Boxx gained 3 new Blue Belts last night !!! During an incredible MMA class taught by legend UFC Vet and current UFC Analyst and Commentator, all 3 were surprised with their well earned promotions.

Last weekend this group travelled to South Florida to compete at PKB’S Muay Thai event. 5 came away with wins 🏆. Proud of them all and look forward to their continued growth. Thank you to Coaches Glenn, Vinny, Juanky and Kingsley for their dedication in training and on the day and Coach Icon who couldn’t make to the tournament but has played a key role in the skills displayed.

Today at American Top Team HQ in Coconut Creek, Master Conan Silveira @conansilveira was officially promoted to his BJJ Coral Belt — a milestone few in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world ever achieve.
What makes this moment even more special is that the belt was awarded by none other than Carlson Gracie Jr., @carlsongracie son of Grandmaster Carlson Gracie, under whom Master Conan trained and earned his black belt.
This promotion not only honors decades of dedication, discipline, and leadership in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but also highlights the lineage and legacy that continues to inspire generations of martial artists around the world.

Our Summer Open Mat Wrestling Program came to a close last night after 2 months of grueling practices, with athletes from more than 10 high schools, coming together with one thing in mind - to make their summer count!
The practices were tough, the coaching intense and the the determination relentless. But each week those who wanted it bad enough, showed up and pushed past their limits.
We’re proud of every single athlete that stepped on the mats this summer and look forward to seeing each surpass their goals for this upcoming season.
Lastly a HUGE thank you to every high school coach and collegiate wrestler that showed up to give back to these rising athletes. You didn’t have to, but did so anyway and you made an impact to each and everyone.
It really is just the beginning for Jace!
Friday night he stepped into the cage for the very first time, checking off a goal he set when he joined the team. He worked his butt off, took his lumps and bumps and did everything we asked of him. And it showed in the cage.
In front of team mates, friends and family, Jace’s hand was raised in victory.

Thank you to our friend Ross for always putting on great shows at @rivalfightleague in Lakeland. And, thank you to all our coaches that poured into Jace, his team mates for making time to help him and finally to Coaches Glenn, Icon, Vinnie and Kingsley for cornering him.
The next few months we have alot of new guys stepping into the cage for the first time along with some returning amateur and pro’s.
This past weekend we were fortunate enough to host a seminar with Dima Murovanni, a modern day legend in the BJJ coaching world.
Dima, a Ukrainian-German born coach, gained popularity and shot to stardom coaching Jozef Chen during the ADCC European Trials, helping him qualify for ADCC 2024.
From there, Dima joined the prestigious B-Team Jiu-Jitsu camp in Austin, TX, where he served as head coach for their ADCC and Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) training, working with a number of top athletes including Owen Jones, Margot Ciccarelli, Linus von Schrenk, and Brianna Ste‑Marie.
Thank you to everyone that came and also to @dima_murovanni and guest student @linus.schrenk for an incredible afternoon of learning.
