Chicago, this one’s still unreleased 👀
We’re ATS — indie pop soul straight out the city — and we’ll be playing an acoustic version of “Speechless” live May 30 at Uncommon Ground.
Would genuinely love to see some familiar faces in the room 🖤
Sometimes the quiet songs hit the hardest.

I heard a story once about a man who met the love of his life in Mexico.
After she passed away, he kept returning to the same town they fell in love in… every single year until the day he died.
That story stayed with me.
So I wrote Mexico — a song about chasing purpose, love, memory, and the places that keep people alive inside us long after they’re gone.
Sharing the live performance…
This one means a lot.

Took Roxanne added church, soul, and the kind of groove that feels like CTA windows in the rain at 1am.
I could feel room leaning in once the trumpet started to preach.
Chicago crowds been singing this one with us lately 👀
Catch us live May 30 at Uncommon Ground

Today one of them days where quitting music feels real.
Not because we not talented.
Not because the shows weak.
Not because the music bad.
It’s the gap between people cheering for you and people actually showing up for you.
Folks love saying:
“Keep going.”
“Y’all next up.”
“Proud of you.”
Cool.
So stream the song.
Pull up to the show.
Share the post without me having to perform a TED Talk first.
That’s the part that drains artists.
Not rejection.
Not criticism.
The fake enthusiasm.
That “I got you next time” energy start sounding like a New Year’s gym membership real fast.
And nobody owes us support. I mean that.
But watching artists sacrifice money, time, relationships, sleep, and sanity just to get recycled motivational speeches back?
Yeah… that part sting a little.
Still here though.
Still creating.
Still stubborn enough to believe this can work.

To every mother holding families together through chaos, sacrifice, late nights, hard conversations, unanswered prayers, second jobs, first hugs, and unconditional love…
Thank you. ❤️
A lot of the people who make Attack the Sound possible exist because of the strength of a mother somewhere behind the scenes.
The mothers that raised us.
The mothers that support us.
The mothers bringing their kids to shows.
The single moms chasing dreams while surviving.
The women becoming the safe place for everyone around them.
We see you.
Chicago doesn’t move without women like you.
From all of us in Attack the Sound —
Happy Mother’s Day 🌸
If you’re spending today reflecting on love, sacrifice, growth, and the people who held you together… we think our song Love is War fits this moment best.
It already carries themes of sacrifice, commitment, vulnerability, and fighting for the people you love — which aligns naturally with Mother’s Day emotionally without feeling forced or commercial.

@spotify asked if you were there…
and honestly, if you felt the room that night, you already know why they’re asking.
Chi-Pop feels different live.
Soft lights. Loud feelings. Real instruments. Real people. No pretending.
If you’ve been needing a night that feels like a movie soundtrack with a little Chicago soul in it… come find us at the next one. 🖤
Follow for the next show announcement.
