🥇 New Zealand Champion !
What a way to finish my time in New Zealand 🇳🇿 After more than a month here, this comp felt like the cherry on top of an incredible trip 🍒! Three days of racing and one of the biggest comebacks I’ve had in my career! 🤯
The first two long-distance races didn’t go my way at all. They were double-points races and honestly felt like a disaster, especially knowing that we will get maximum of two discards throughout the competition… and I already used them all in the first two races 🫣 At that moment I knew winning the event would only be possible if I won every single race that followed..
So that’s exactly what I decided to do.
I reset, changed my settings, and fought for every point. Over the next day I managed to win them all, finishing the last day with an overall victory!!! 🥇
I’m also really happy to see how much the sport is growing. So many new faces and young riders with huge potential. It’s only a matter of time before we see many of them on the international stage.
Now it’s time for the next mission.
Off we go to Europe, Naples, I’m coming.
