Thank you to @seasonscoffee and @claramidtown for this fun little video reminder to make your reusable come again and again. This is your rebellion against the plastic and fossil industry- bring a reusable!!! You are saving the trees, saving energy, saving the planet and saving your body from microplastics (yes your paper cup is lined with plastic to hold your hot liquid and you are getting all that juicy plastic in your drink). Do yourself and your body a huge favor- bring a reusable This handmade mug is from @angietalbertstudios Love you 😘 . #sacramento #reusable #ecofriendly #atrium916 #seasonscoffee

Calling all clowns, jesters, harlequins and mimes: step right up to be part of a unique trash clean up event in Old Sacramento! ✨COMMUNITY CLEAN UP CLOWNS!✨ Part performance art and part community service, all ages are welcome to join - casual clowns to full circus costumes are welcome. Connect with creative and fun folks who care about their community (with plenty of photo-worthy moments!) On Saturday, May 30th - clowns will meet and depart from @atrium916 at 11am - together we will wander the Waterfront District to pick up ground litter. Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring reusable water bottle (and trash grabber if you have one!) This event is hosted by Studio Marana and Atrium 916. Though this our first clown clean up, this will be an ongoing project - so follow for more opportunities to clown around for a cause. RSVP on Eventbrite - link in @laurel_marana bio. Got trash? SEND IN THE CLOWNS!

FREE COMPOST - Sacramento offers free self-serve compost to residents, generally available during spring and summer to support organic waste diversion. (Thanks SB1383) Key locations include Branch Center Road, Fair Oaks Park, and Gibson Ranch, where residents must bring their own shovels and containers to load the compost. . We were at this location- 3800 Branch Center Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827. It in the parking lot you will find a huge pile. Just come with containers and load up- self serve. No sign up or registration required. The self-serve compost is for home landscaping and home gardening projects. This program is for residents only and is not for commercial use or commercial landscapers, etc. The compost is made of Organics - food scraps, food-soiled paper, and yard trimmings - from Sacramento County Waste Management and Recycling residential curbside customers. The County orders compost as needed Monday through Friday, only. Compost restocking is based on vendor availability. Residents will need to bring a shovel/containers. Manual loading only. No mechanical loading allowed. No staff is available to assist in loading. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. . #sacramento #gardening #compost #foodwaste

Grateful for an Earth-conscious community right here in Sacramento 🌿 Arden Fair partnered with @atrium916 to bring together local vendors, hands-on art, and shared moments rooted in sustainability. From meaningful connections to a beautiful installation by @yenniezhoudesigns , this was community at its best. Thankful to be surrounded by partners and people who care deeply about the planet — and each other!💚

Some good news for the planet - it was a miracle earth day (at least delayed until they find another way) House Republican leadership canceled a planned Earth Day vote on April 22, 2026, for H.R. 1897, the “ESA Amendments Act”, designed to weaken the Endangered Species Act, (so they can extract oil and not worry about the harm the operations cause to ocean life), The bill would have limited federal habitat protections and sped up species delisting, but due to shaky support (because so many people on earth Day called their representatives) they pulled the bill off the agenda the very last minute- it is like an earth Day miracle. The Bill: HR 1897, introduced by Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-AR), aimed to reduce protections for threatened species, increase allowable “takes” (killing/trapping), and limit the role of science preservation. 90% of Americans support the current Endangered Species Act. While this vote was canceled, other efforts like the Endangered Species Transparency and Reasonableness Act of 2025 (H.R. 180) and American Sovereignty and Species Protection Act of 2025 (H.R. 102) show continued legislative efforts to modify the law. Big day of giving - early giving has begun. Link in our Bio. We must work together to protect our environment- it isn’t about Republican or democratic. It’s about those who care in those who are greedy..
