Had to take a couple of days to process everything and collect my thoughts.
I’ll try to keep this short and sweet, but my heart is so full right now.
2024 has been a long, challenging year—many of you already know what I’ve been through. But as this year comes to an end, I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful way to close it out than this past weekend. The RTHMZ showcase was everything. From the dedication and hard work of our team to the energy of the crowd who came through to show love and support—it was unforgettable.
To my fellow RTHMZ members: thank you for being my rocks, my biggest supporters, and the best friends I could ever ask for. You’ve lifted me up in my darkest moments, reminded me of my strength, and shown me what true friendship looks like.
To the directors and faculty:
@ponorak @heyimjonn @richmond_beach @lilmango24 @t.mbla @ryanrider.jpeg @emeryy.parkk @gillianmeis - thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance to grow, lead, and take up space within RTHMZ. Your trust and encouragement mean more than words can express.
To ECHO: you all blew me away. The late nights, the hard work, the endless focus—it all paid off in the most incredible way. Watching you crush it on stage made me so proud.
And finally, to the Seattle dance community: thank you for embracing me, encouraging me, and helping me find my purpose. For the past six years, you’ve been my foundation, my inspiration, and my family. Without your love and support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
I’m beyond grateful to have found a home within this community—a place where I can truly belong. As I look ahead to next year, I’m nervous but hopeful, knowing that with all of you by my side, everything will be just fine.
With love and endless gratitude,
Ato 🤎
