To close AstraZeneca’s Senior Leaders Meeting, we created The Believers, a bold, five-screen film told through the voices of young people calling for change in health, equity and sustainability. Shot and designed as a synchronised panoramic experience, the film surrounded senior leaders with future-facing perspectives, turning a conference close into a moment of reflection and accountability. We also delivered hero and cut-down edits to carry the message beyond the room and onto AstraZeneca’s digital channels.

For The Department for Education, we told the story of early years from a child’s point of view, using evolving artwork, a playful voiceover and a stop-motion LEGO brain that builds as relationships grow. From handprints to scribbles to fine-line drawings, the animation mirrors how creativity, care and connection shape young minds. Simple, joyful and emotionally grounded, the film turned science into storytelling, and made the importance of parent-child relationships impossible to forget.

Real calls. Real people. Real urgency. For NHS England’s stroke awareness campaign, we worked with Freuds to bring real 999 calls from stroke survivors to screen. We filmed across the UK and shaped the two-part narrative, revealing the person behind the call and turning moments of crisis into powerful, human stories.

GenAI helps unpack Goals House in New Delhi To mark the arrival of @goalshouse at the Kathika Cultural Centre in New Delhi, Atomized Studios created a generative AI film that quite literally unpacks Goals House into the space. The piece opens inside an empty heritage interior where a single Goals House crate opens and the entire environment flows from within. The furniture, artwork, dressings, and atmosphere assembling in real time as a the community gradually appears. The visual metaphor mirrors what Goals House does best: transforming spaces into moments of conversation and connection. The film was created using generative AI tools, carefully prompted, art directed and refined through multiple iterations to balance architectural accuracy, brand integrity and cinematic realism. Every detail, from how objects travel through the room to the way people emerge into the space, was shaped through a layered workflow combining AI generation with human creative direction.

Our content strategy is increasingly "social first", targeting platforms where audience attention spans are shorter than ever. Microdramas are rapidly gaining traction - already boasting huge audiences in Asia and growing popularity in Western markets. These bite-sized narratives offer brands the chance to become part of the story itself: imagine a hotel or fast-food outlet as the setting, with products woven seamlessly into the plot. Effective storytelling in this format can significantly boost brand engagement. When done well, it transforms content into shareable, talk-worthy moments that keep audiences coming back. Gameshow formats are also being reinvented for short-form platforms. For example, my previous company, Banijay, recently announced a partnership with YouTube to launch the Entertainment Creators Lab, reflecting the industry's shift towards social first audiences. How long until the west and therefore western brands fully embrace this format?

Last week, our crew travelled to New Delhi to help bring the very first Goals House India to life. We were on the ground for four days, capturing conversations, contributors and key moments as this new house opened its doors alongside the AI Impact Summit India. From jobs and skills to access and equity, environmental impact, and the role of AI across health, education and climate - our Atomized team documented the voices shaping the future. It was an inspiring week, and we’re proud to have played a part in telling these stories from inside @goalshouse New Delhi.

For Because of You, we created, shot and edited a series of films where celebrities surprised National Lottery beneficiaries with news of new funding, capturing the human moments behind arts, culture and community projects across the UK, working with Celia Imrie and Claudia Winkleman. We also developed the creative and produced the wrap film that brought the series together, showing the scale of impact made possible by National Lottery players.

“Nothing is permanent” - a phrase from a pop art painting in my home - reminds me that both success and adversity are fleeting. When things are going well, it’s easy to take them for granted, but even the toughest situations can be turned around with the right approach. A few years ago, we faced a project that began with significant challenges. Instead of letting the setback define the outcome, through calmness, transparency and tenacity the team transform a rocky start into one of our strongest client relationships. This experience taught me that resilience and openness can turn challenges into opportunities.

For the NHS breast screening campaign, we brought Sue’s Left Boob to life. A funny, honest open letter from a breast cancer survivor, told from the perspective of her own body part. Working with Freuds, we filmed and edited the campaign and helped position Sue’s story as the lead social asset, using humour to cut through stigma and remind women that early detection saves lives.

We’re driving efficiency and creativity by integrating AI tools into our workflow. For example, we can produce social cuts much faster, clone voices to avoid time-consuming pick-ups, and leverage AI avatars, voiceovers, music, and GenAI images to enhance our content. Recently, we’ve put GenAI video technology to the test on a real client brief, we’ve created personalised avatars that speak multiple languages and we’ve developed interactive AI avatars with deep content knowledge. These innovations have enabled us to deliver more engaging, tailored experiences for our clients.  Through these experiments, we’ve gained a clear understanding of how AI can boost creative outcomes, streamline production, and open up new possibilities for storytelling.

Last summer we helped launch one of the UK and Ireland’s most impressive virtual production studios - and it involved flying a drone very close to some brand-new, very expensive kit. The final film was designed as a seamless, one-shot drone journey, capturing the full scale, flow and creative potential of Studio Ulster — from stage to stage, in a single continuous move, as well as designing and developing a full suite of digital assets including their new website, identity, photography and digital 360 tours. Huge thanks to the Studio Ulster team for the trust, creative freedom, and calm nerves, and to an exceptional crew who made something technically demanding feel genuinely fun.

We loved bringing this one to life. For the Department of Health and Social Care’s Best Start in Life campaign, Atomized Studios created The Story of You, a heartfelt film combining live action and animation, narrated by Oti Mabuse, Billie Shepherd, Tay Kabs, Ms Apple, Professor Sam Wass, and even Mummy Pig herself. Written by Camilla Reid and illustrated by Rob Biddulph, the film celebrates the journey from pregnancy to starting school, reminding parents that trusted advice and support are just a click away at BestStartinLife.gov.uk. A joy to produce from script to screen. Huge thanks to everyone involved.
