Our purpose is to turn care, craft, and curiosity into lasting value for our clients, communities, and one another. Atomic’s 2025 Purpose Report is out today. It’s our annual look at how we actually lived that out — in the work we made, the people we invested in, and the communities we showed up for. We’re proud of this one. Link in bio to read it.

Atomic Con 2026 just wrapped and we’re still smiling 🌵☀️ In 2001, Atomic Object was just getting started. Twenty-five years later, we gathered in Phoenix to celebrate how far we’ve come and the Atoms who made it possible. From horseback riding and mountain biking to desert hikes, botanical gardens, and poolside hangs, everyone chose their own adventure. We had Atoms who’ve been here for decades and Atoms who just joined this year, sharing stories, swapping ideas, and getting to know each other beyond the office. More than anything, it was a celebration of 25 years of craft, steady growth, and showing up for each other and our clients. On to the next 25. 🎉

What started as a Super Bowl recipe swap 10 years ago has become one of our favorite traditions 🏈 Every February since 2016, Atoms across all our offices bring their best dips to share on Dip Day. This year: 50+ dips across all four offices!

What happens when you actually stop and listen to your team? Yesterday, Kealy Williams, our Software Development Practice Lead in Ann Arbor, shared findings from her assessment of our development practice. She synthesized dozens of developer interviews into clear insights about our strengths, our gaps, and where we go next. As Kealy put it, ““When I really listened to our developers, I heard a team with deep trust, strong ownership, and a genuine desire to do the right thing. I also heard where friction shows up—not because people don’t care, but because we lack shared patterns and clear expectations. That combination told me we have a culture worth protecting and an opportunity to make it even stronger.” This is who we are: a team that listens, learns, and evolves.

Grateful to @purposejobs for including Atomic Object on their list of “18 Companies That Make Giving Back Part of the Job.” We’re committed to creating steady, demonstrable impact in the communities around our four offices. In the past year, that’s included supporting 25 community organizations, contributing over $93,800 in volunteer time and sponsorships, hosting dozens of meetups (like the Accessibility Meetup pictured), and growing long-term initiatives like the Baker and Cook Fellowship for graduating BIPOC high school students interested in tech careers. Thank you, Purpose Jobs, for the recognition and for highlighting companies that make supporting local communities a key part of how business gets done!

We’re proud to see Co-CEOs Michael Marsiglia and Shawn Crowley recognized among @crainsgrandrapids ’ top 200 leaders for the third year in a row. At Atomic, leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about teamwork, trust, and craft. Read the pair of leaders reflect on their partnership and what’s ahead for the employee-owned firm in the bio link.

Across our offices, Atoms host Lunch & Learns—sessions where we share knowledge with each other on all kinds of topics. Today in Ann Arbor, the team dug into code, while past sessions have explored areas like LGBTQIA+ education. It’s one of the ways we nurture a culture where teaching and learning go hand-in-hand, helping us grow skills, spark conversations, and strengthen connections across the team.

These are our Sugar Cubes in Ann Arbor. 💌 What’s a Sugar Cube? They’re quick notes of gratitude we leave for each other — anything from “you’re doing a great job lately” to a fun sticker slipped into the Atom’s envelope. Because sometimes the smallest thank-yous are the sweetest. 🍬✨ Curious to learn more or start your own at work? Blog post in bio!
