Ever wonder how nuclear devices were tested in the middle of the ocean? 🌊 Short answer: You call the Navy. The U.S. Navy provided the vast majority of the personnel and the physical infrastructure needed to execute tests in some of the most remote places on Earth. Beyond the logistics, they used these tests as a massive experiment to see if modern naval fleets could even survive the atomic age. -- National Atomic Testing Museum, History Museum, Las Vegas Locals, Atomic History

This landmark trip marked a significant shift in international relations, opening a new era of communication between the two superpowers. While the visit is famously remembered for major breakthroughs in arms control, it also paved the way for vital cooperation in science, the environment, and global security.

Did you know that some nuclear tests were named after cheese? 🧀💥 Naming a nuclear experiment is about more than just a label—it's a way to organize decades of data. While the Manhattan Project started with Trinity, later series used creative themes like Texas cities or gourmet cheeses to distinguish different phases of research. -- Nuclear History, Atomic History, Las Vegas Museums, Things to do in Las Vegas, History Museum
