Denim, uniforms, and flags, all familiar but reworked in a way that felt more personal than patriotic.
Subtle word details appeared throughout the looks. Not loud, just enough to catch your eye and make you think for a second.
The detail I could not ignore was the pennies. Small, intentional, and carrying meaning in a quiet way.
@rodrickgilchrist took everyday references and gave them a different kind of energy at the @atlsfw !

Every look built from pieces that weren’t meant to go together… and somehow worked. Scrap combining at its best. You could see it in the patchwork, the layering, the unexpected mix of textures and prints.
Making, mending, reworking.

Through this collection, I’ve discovered the importance of patience and exploring various art forms, fueling my passion for fashion designing. This collection also took 2 weeks to complete!!!

From the Michael Jackson moment to African-inspired prints and those knitted capes, the collection moved through music, culture, texture, and nostalgia without feeling predictable.
A little bold, a little dramatic, very intentional.
Sustainable, custom, and definitely not here to play it safe. Atlanta designers are doing exactly what they need to do.
