Shoutout to my Alma Mater, John L. LeFlore High School!
I truly appreciate Principal Williams for taking the time to give me a tour of the new campus and for sharing the incredible work he and his team are doing. The culture and climate were absolutely on point, and the students were respectful, engaged, and represented the school with pride.
It was also great seeing my classmate, Assistant Principal Kirsten Gaines, in action and reconnecting with my homie Assistant Principal Derrick Gray. We spent time reminiscing about our days walking those halls back in the 90’s. Moments like this remind me how special LeFlore is and how powerful it is to see fellow alumni continuing the legacy of excellence.

This school year, both of our children, one Senior inducted into the National Beta Club & one Sophomore was inducted into the National Honor Society — a true reflection of their hard work, dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Watching them both achieve this honor in the same year is something we will cherish forever.
