This year leaned toward collectability and limited editions, alongside a growing focus on urban domestic exploration. Craft returned with clarity, positioned as cultural and intellectual rather than nostalgic. Brand activations leaned heavily into visibility, often at the expense of meaningful contribution. Still, they didn’t define the week. What held was a body of work grounded in intention, material thinking, and spatial experience. A selection through the FLUID lens. The Fold at FLUID Unfolding the hidden chapters of culture, politics, and design. The story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl affected by the bombing of Hiroshima, has touched hearts around the world, especially children. While suffering from Leukemia, she folded 1,000 origami cranes, each a true-hearted wish for peace. Her courage, and the tragedy of her early death, inspired children everywhere to fold cranes with the same wish: for peace on Earth. Sadako’s story lives on. She, along with the origami crane, has become a symbol not only of the tragedy of war, but also of the celebration of peace and life itself, reminding us that even the smallest creative gestures can carry immense weight in times of conflict. We’re kind of over seeing the same phone case on every hand. So we’re sculpting our own. Literally. 

 This prototype? It’s a tactile experiment. Something between art and object. A little weird. And made to feel good in your hand, not just in your feed. We’re exploring sculptural form, and ergonomic play. We’re playing with materials like soft-touch silicone, flexible resins, and bioplastics, and we’re curious where this could go. 

 Want to shape it with us? We’re open to makers, 3D printers, and material collaborators.
