This Jeepney Barong holds a deep significance for me, as it represents my father's unwavering dedication and love for our family. It’s hard to believe that I find myself dressing him in this attire not for my wedding, but for his wake.
For nearly 30 years, my papa worked tirelessly to ensure that we could attend in a good school and university, and I am proud to say that all of us graduated from FEU Manila. I even digitally designed the original jeep that he used as a means to support us.
Thank you, Papa, for everything you did for us. While we may have had our disagreements along the way, your love for me never wavered. You embraced me as your colorful unico hijo, showering me with affection every single day.
Rest in peace, Papa. I’ll carry your memory with me until we meet again in the next life.
