Resonance of a Gesture — Pollock-Inspired Sound Installation & Performance I’m sharing three short excerpts from my ongoing project Resonance of a Gesture, developed through collaborations and performances at The Pollock-Krasner House and the Staller Center Recital Hall at Stony Brook University. This is Video 3 A short visualization using my sample library realization of the string quartet and mallet parts, synchronized with images of Pollock’s paintings. This clip shows the relationship between the musical material and the visual gestures that inform the compositional processes behind the work.

This is Video 1: A short excerpt from the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center sound installation, showing the algorithmic tracing system running in real time with a wavetable synthesizer. The system follows gesture-paths derived from Pollock’s paintings, transforming them into evolving sonic trajectories.

👀 Sneak Peek on S. Ocean! Not one, but two MoCA L.I.ghts installations are making waves here and first up is Tidal Kin by Linda O’Keeffe & Tony Doyle. 🌊 Tidal Kin
Projected onto the Historic Industrial Coverage Corp, Tidal Kin channels tidal rhythms, shifting temperatures, and submerged ecologies to imagine a world in flux. An amazing stay at the Allen Telescope Array at Hat Creek Radio Observatory as part of our AIR @setiinstitute . Three days of listening, recording and talking about how we communicate across space and time. So much to think about, @wearenonrandom will be spending the next two years collaborating and working with SETI researchers to explore so many subjects and we cannot wait to share what we do. #artscience #deeplistening #deeptime

SETI AiR 2024 We are so incredibly excited to announce our inclusion into the artist residency programme with the world renowned @setiinstitute As part of our work we are heading to California this month to run workshops, research, share art prototypes and strike up conversations and collaborations with the institute and it's members. Keep an eye on all of our social media to see what we get up to as we continue our journey exploring the intersection between the arts and complex topics such as astrophysics, genetics, ecology, climate change, AI and ethics. Thank you to all partners and funders that have helped make this possible. #sciarts #research #design #publicengagement #speculativefutures #creativetechnology #ai #nonrandom
