We honor the life of a transgender female UW student lost in a space that should have been safe.
This tragedy demands both reflection and action. We recognize the impact this has on our community, particularly for LGBTQIA+ students, and the urgency of addressing concerns around safety and inclusion.
ASUW is committed to turning this moment into meaningful advocacy, pushing for accountability, supporting student-led efforts, and working toward policies that ensure every student feels secure on campus. We are actively working and communicating with VP of Campus Community Safety at UW as well as UWPD.

we’re very excited to officially present field day! field day is an outdoor festival organized by students at UW that is free for everyone to attend. we hope there is something for everyone to enjoy at the festival!
here’s a look at the core programming for the entire day. in addition to the core events, there will be extra games and activities dispersed both indoor/outdoor in the area provided by different RSOs and organizations. the festival will be centered around the Denny Field and Jacob Lawrence Courtyard area.

Joshua Rivedal a comedian, author, speaker, and educator is coming to the UW campus for a stand-up comedy show rooted in powerful storytelling. Beyond the laughs, Joshua will also share insights on the importance of mental health in BIPOC communities, drawing from his own lived experiences.

ASUW OGR is proud to share our end of Legislative Session update. This year, we successfully passed 4 bills and brought 179 students to Olympia to advocate for change. Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke out, and made an impact.
We hope to continue highlighting student voices and pushing for tangible change in many more sessions to come.
