Sharpless 2-115/116
Sh2-115 and Sh2-116 are two emission nebulae located in the constellation Cygnus, near the bright star Deneb. Sh2-115 is a large, faint nebula, while Sh2-116, initially thought to be a planetary nebula, is a smaller, round patch of emission nebula.

Monkey Head Nebula - NGC2174
The Monkey Head Nebula is an emission nebula located approximately 6,400 light-years away in the equatorial constellation Orion.
NGC2174 is an H II region, a large cloud of ionized gas in which new stars are forming. The cloud is a site of intense star formation. It is associated with the open cluster NGC 2175.
The stellar nursery contains many young stars that are embedded within the surrounding dust and gas. These stars emit intense ultraviolet radiation which ionizes the hydrogen gas, making the nebula glow at infrared wavelengths.

Jellyfish Nebula - IC443
The Jellyfish Nebula, also known by its official name IC 443, is the remnant of a supernova lying 5,000 light years from Earth.
When a massive star runs out of thermonuclear fuel, it implodes, forming a dense stellar core called a neutron star. The outer layers of the star collapse toward the neutron star then bounce outward in a supernova explosion.

Popularly called the Orion Nebula, this stellar nursery has been known to many different cultures throughout human history. The nebula is only 1,500 light-years away, making it the closest large star-forming region to Earth.

Andromeda Galaxy - M31
The Andromeda Galaxy (M31) is the closest large galaxy to the Milky Way and is one of a few galaxies that can be seen unaided from the Earth. Andromeda is accompanied by 14 dwarf galaxies, including M32, M110.
In approximately 4.5 billion years the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way are expected to collide and the result will be a giant elliptical galaxy.

According to current scientific understanding, our Sun has not “eaten” any planets yet, but when it reaches its red giant phase in about 5 billion years, it is predicted to engulf Mercury and Venus, and possibly even Earth, effectively “eating” them as they get absorbed into the expanding star.
