Half Moon Pocket. @smoky_crystals and I scoured the mountains until sunset. As were making our way down he found a chunk of nicely etched and strong crystal structure feldspar. We chased it uphill and found a partially collapsed pocket of some incredible smoky, feldspar, and unique formations. ⚒️🏔️💎

The glow in the dark pocket. Broke up some chunks to get to a new zone in a worked spot. Uncovered some amazing calcites with 4-5 forms growing on them. Hematite inclusions and iron oxide coatings. Cathedral style growth, stacked wafer crystals, clear healed regrowth. UV reactive, Phosphorescent, and delicate.

What do you do with your scrap rocks? Cool rock finds? Not quite specimen worthy….but always given another life. Here we have some cool chunks made into tiny dwarven mining scenes. Everything is hand made and hand painted and textured. The dwarf miniatures are warhammer old world. 🏔️🏜️

Cleaned up as best I could. The feldspar is all etched. The smokies are sceptery and skeletal. The white material on the crystals is cookite and I need some better gear to get rid of that. The 2 best pieces I kept from the pocket already sold lol. Here is what is remaining from the half moon 🌙 pocket. @smoky_crystals has the other half of the haul. We definitely need to go back asap. Nature makes the best canvases. 🏜️
