Woo hoo! Tis the music video I made for my song, “Memories and Music” off of my latest album “Soul Fires!” 😃💜
In 2022, after the pandemic and the loss of my Mom to cancer, I threw myself into the fires of RV living and hit the road for most of the year with the hopes of writing a new record. After I’d made it to the east coast and started making my way south, I had a handful of songs about grief, and processing, and starting over. I felt I needed to write a righteous travel song for all the places I’d been and all the places I was going and ask that they give me “Memories and Music.” I wrote this while in New Orleans so it has a bit of big easy flare and features renowned NoLa harmonica player, Johnny Mastro. This video contains footage I took from my journey as well as live shots from my vinyl release party at Studiowest in San Diego in September of 2023.

I went into Satellite Studios and did a few solo/acoustic versions of tracks off of the new album, “Soul Fires.” This was the first single release, a restless road song written during a cold and rainy drive across Texas that pushed the buttons of my already funky mood. I was parked off-grid in the RV with no power and no heat. It was 38 degrees out and there was nothing else to do but pick up my guitar and write. Thanks to producer, Jeff Berkley and videographer Brian Kiem.
