Tia Ansell is a New Zealand born and Melbourne based artist, predominantly known for her “weaving paintings”. Tia has a BFA with Honours at the Victorian College of the Arts (2018).

Fergus Robertson is an artist living in North Canterbury, New Zealand.
He has painted pets and other objects, though his main focus is flowers in interesting vessels. Each vase and selection of flowers has a story - one of Ferg’s friends may have gifted him the flowers, and the vase might have been dug up in his neighbour’s garden.
We are looking forward to exhibiting him at the Aotearoa Art Fair next week.

Ferg is entirely self taught. Working in oil paint, he captures still life scenes, which he sets up in his studio.
This will be his third solo exhibition with Astor Bristed.

Astor Bristed makes their Art Fair debut with a solo booth of works by Fergus Robertson, bringing his meticulously detailed, small-scale paintings.
Working primarily in oil, Robertson’s practice centres on precision and close looking, each work inviting viewers to slow down and engage with its intricate surfaces, subtle textures, and carefully considered composition.
