Compared to ready-to-wear, there’s just a bit more in how each part comes together. Mostly in parts you don’t usually pay attention to. #assembleshirtings

When two worlds built on detail come together. A transformation for the man behind @lothwatches Shaped by proportion, fabric, and quiet precision. Different crafts but same respect for time, process, and intention. #assemblesuits

Up close on the details. For this milestone moment, we worked closely with @pierrepng to design a look that quietly commands — a black paisley modern tuxedo using Ariston, a fabric rooted in generations of Italian craftsmanship. At its heart: a Mandarin collar shirt, a nod to tradition reimagined for the red carpet, finished with a hand-sewn Chinese knot clasp that anchors the entire look in quiet strength. With an understated charisma, @pierrepng brings presence, ease, and poise — reminding us that good tailoring doesn’t just fit the body but elevates the spirit. #assemblesuits #starwards2025

For L, a tri-tone herringbone in pure wool added into his growing wardrobe of work suits. Every time he comes in, the brief is almost always the same — not to look like everyone else in the office. Nothing overly loud or flashy, just pieces with enough texture, depth, and personality to feel distinctly his own. #assemblesuits

W went with a mix of different Carnet fabrics for these polo tees, each with its own texture, weave, and character. Though they follow the same silhouette, every fabric brings a slightly different feel to the piece. Some feel drier and more textured, others softer and smoother in hand. It’s a subtle reminder of how much fabric alone can change the experience of wearing something seemingly simple. #assemblepolo

Not just made to match the suit. Made to carry a bit of the person wearing it too. Handmade in small details, subtle textures, and colours chosen with intention. A tie that feels less like an accessory, more like part of the story. #assembleaccessories

A custom tie, and a little keepsake made from the very same fabric. Cut from a soft brown weave with a subtle dry texture and fine movement throughout, giving it quiet depth and warmth. Finished with matching embroidery initials, it’s a small gift with a little more heart behind it. #assembleaccessories

Amidst an audience of 300 to 400 guests, how does a groom distinguish himself? Not through ostentation or excessive embellishment, but by selecting attire that conveys presence from the moment you enter the room. For this wedding, we selected an ivory dinner jacket paired with black trousers, a combination that interacts with light in distinct ways throughout the evening and subtly draws attention. The peak lapel, clean shoulder line, and balanced proportions of a proper tuxedo do more than photograph well; they encourage greater confidence and poise in the wearer throughout the event. This celebration also felt especially personal. Long before the wedding, the bride worked alongside us in the studio. Years later, seeing her return to wear our work for one of the biggest days of her life made this project mean much more than another tuxedo order 🥲 photo & video: @derai.studio wedding planner: @twogather morning dress: @acnt.bridal evening dress & veil: @the.proposal.bridal suit: @assemblesg MUA & hair: @pricillia.stefani @arlynhairdo florist: @via.fleurs decoration: @eliordesign venue: @whistlergarden.id #assemblesuits #groomsofassemble

“Coffee and Creases” — our first workshop, where we spent the afternoon exploring what most overlook: how a shirt should be handled after it leaves the hanger. From collar to cuff, understanding where to press, where to ease off, and how heat and steam shape the fabric without flattening it. It’s not about chasing stiffness but learning how to restore a clean line that still makes the shirt belongs to you. Alongside coffee, conversation moved easily with clients, friends, and first-timers sharing the same table, working through each step with us. A small start, but one we’ve been wanting to do for a while. Trousers ironing next? #assemblesg

A tuxedo was never meant to function like an ordinary black suit. Its traditions originate from evening attire: softer shirt fronts under candlelight, silk facings, trousers without belt loops so the silhouette remains clean from waist to shoe. Even the bow tie serves a purpose. A necktie signals "business"; a bow tie declares the day is done. In Singapore, most men encounter black tie only a handful of times in their lives — weddings, embassy dinners, gala evenings, or formal hotel receptions marked black tie preferred. That scarcity is precisely what gives it significance. The common error is believing a tuxedo must proclaim luxury. In truth, the finest tuxedos impress with deliberate detail. Silk lapels with depth, not shine. A shirt structured to frame the jacket and trousers, lying smoothly at the waist. Subtle refinements—people notice, even if they can't explain how. Perhaps the most neglected aspect: a tuxedo is truly an evening uniform. It shines after sunset, under warm lighting, with a drink rather than beneath office fluorescents at 2pm. Worn at the right hour and in the right setting, it radiates rare elegance and clear class, mirroring the wearer’s confidence and sophistication. #assemblesuits

Upcoming @loropiana AW’26 features a collection on denser weaves, fuller handles, and deeper tones that sit somewhere between dusk and early evening. Some of these cloths carry a dryness to the touch, a more open weave than expected, allowing air to pass through rather than trap it. Others, especially the lighter tweed-like and brushed wool, hold their structure without feeling heavy, making them surprisingly workable here. The checks this season feel particularly attractive; they often contrast and have tonal layering rather than loud statements. Browns washed with blue, greys broken up with faint overchecks, creams that can be your forever classics. #assemblebespoke #loropianafabrics
