Start here if you’re new to calisthenics 👇 Before chasing muscle-ups, handstands, or advanced skills… build your foundation. Two things beginners should focus on early: 1. Scapular control Your shoulders need to learn how to move, stabilize, and support your body before you start loading them heavily. 2. Core strength Not just abs full body tension. This is what helps you stay controlled in pull-ups, push-ups, L-sits, handstands, and almost every calisthenics skill. Then sprinkle in the basics: push-ups, pull-ups, rows, dips, hollow holds, and active hangs. The goal isn’t to rush. The goal is to build a body that can handle the skills you want later. Save this before your next training day 🫶🏽 What skill are you working toward right now?

This was a big moment for me because this skill in particular was something I just never saw myself being able to push past the fear of. I’m definitely proud of myself and it’s just another reminder that you can truly do anything you put your mind too. . . . . . . . #calisthenics #femaleathlete #bodyweighttraining #streetworkout #femalecalisthenics
