Our clients wanted a bold frame choice for this painting by one of their grandmothers.
We were excited to land on the Groove carving from Woodworks Imagery. Even the more minimal designs from Woodworks Imagery show an attention to craft and quality, but the more complex carvings are truly incredible. This carving comes in a variety of stain options. For this piece, we chose a medium brown to maintain an earthy context while allowing the brighter colors to pop.
Beautiful blend of soft, color, and organic shapes.
@spark_frames are all made by hand with a stunning set of signature color blends. The sage green of the Verbana complimented the natural scene of this Hozier concert poster. Layering the royal purple mat with the subtle orange highlights of the Verbana profile built depth and dynamic through color.
As the Artemis II crew member, Christina Koch, so graciously reminded us, our little planet is a “lifeboat hanging undisturbingly in the universe” and in honor of Earth Day coming up next week, we want to highlight both artworks and frame craft that connect us to our beautiful planet.
We are fortunate to have a one of a kind selection of frames showcasing the technical beauty and craft of woodworking. This beautiful frame by Woodworks Imagery is called End Grain as it highlights the distinguishable texture at the end of a sheet of wood. Likewise, a sunflower is one of the most emblematic flowers in nature, representing the golden ratio in the spiraling of it’s seeds.
Apart from the design, this photograph was taken by our client’s grandfather who loved both photography and printing. The frame and the photograph print were immediately connectable through an eye for detail and the natural world.
This lithograph of “Jacqueline” by Picasso held additional significance to our client, and we were delighted to create such a lovely framework for it.
This moulding is our first example of @fotiouframes Generation Collection, which we are currently the only framers in San Francisco to showcase in our store. The collection places no constraints on the use of classic beauty in texture, detail, fine finishes, and framing tradition.
This particular moulding has the perfect balance of simplicity and movement through the reflection of light across directional texture. We paired it with a black mat and a textured black fillet (inner moulding) to balance the frame with the piece.
The artwork is protected with Optium Museum Acrylic and finished according to industry preservation standards.

The whitewater cream color and vintage distress finish on @bridgermetalworks angled steel frames works perfectly with this vintage poster from Marin Dell Dairy.
Our client opted for a smooth weld at the corners for a seamless look. We floated the poster in the frame to show off the character. What a fun piece of Northern California history, and we love how the design turned out!

Our client shared that the times they have taken risks they’ve had the results they loved the most. With that in mind, we were confident to add the bold pop of color from the Miami collection as an accent frame. Overall, the design has a traditional, elegant feel with the vibrant red complementing the bold reds in the painting.
This limited edition print is titled 19th Ave by Sonoma County artist @hilaryatthecircus
We were honored to frame these original ink paintings for local artist, @fancysnapshot2000
We layered subtle textures and lines to build dimension while still keeping to the subtlety of the pieces.
@fancysnapshot2000 pieces speak to the complexity of the art medium itself, the ink and paper. We floated each piece of paper and then, layered a second mat to encapsulate the four pieces as one. The high gloss black frame with thin white edges pulled it all together to create the right mood.
