May 4-8 is Missing or Murdered Indigenous People Awareness Week, a week where we remember and honor all missing and murdered Indigenous persons.
Homicide continues to be a leading cause of death for Indigenous people. Despite the high rates of violence against Indigenous people, cases are often underreported or not reported at all.
Change needs to happen NOW. I will continue demanding for justice.

We are a coalition of concerned parents who see the heartbreaking impacts addictive feeds have on kids every day. Kids are suffering and we will not stand by.
AB 1709 would limit social media platforms with addictive algorithms for kids younger than 16 and create an e-Safety Platform that will guide California’s digital safety policy.

"Teenagers spend an average of 5 hours a day on social media. If the average is 5 hours a day, that means there are millions of children in California today spending more time on social media than in school. There is no other unsupervised environment where children spend that much time with so little accountability [...] so why would we accept less protection in digital spaces?"
