Impressions of a Time Had
From flame, the trees I once knew stand dark, foreign to the image of my memory. But as I am present in this place I once called home, I ask myself, who really is the one who has changed?
This place has claimed my name and called me its own. Here, I see the springs of my admiration, the anchors of my memories, and the prelude to my understanding. I feel a great pain, a desire to see beyond the stone and wind, as I am blinded by regret and wonder. I see this place as intimately as myself, with a love and loathing - defined by a life lived.
I am cold but free, left only to wonder; will this place remember me?

Here is a look into a Japanese Stab book created with @ianvancoller at @montanastate_filmphoto inspired by John Koenig’s The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows @thedictionaryofobscuresorrows . This book is a collection of 12 “made-up” words to define particular experiences that are each tied to a photograph. This is a first edition, hard cover book made by Aidan Slider with Montana State University.
