I had this idea where the aftermovie would be dissected into these different parts. A-throwback-of-the-past-part, where the festival get to take some ownership of the stadium, jumping directly into the first night’s drop, skipping the arrival stuff, a daytime-part showing both what’s happening outside and inside at day time, a slowmo part where everything is going a bit slower and a real, hardcore, festival aftermovie drop at the end. The plan was pretty ambitious and I knew we wouldn’t be able to everything at a high-end 30 second commercial level, especially at this length, so we slashed the fictional scenes with actors and just tried to do as much as possible in the direction of the main idea and I think we really nailed the core of the initial concept. Super cool experience overall, such a huge crew (we did a horisontal aftermovie while also shooting vertical for socials so we ended up being 16 people) crazy amounts of footage, grading from 6-7-8 different cameras, making licensing deals with all the artists&labels, getting to pick the excact songs I wanted, having this amount of time and still making tweaks last minute (like 6 months), and super thank you to the festival who actually greenlit this idea! <3 <3
