You open your phone for a second… and suddenly: → another headline → another crisis → another emotional pull And now your body feels it. Heavy. On edge. Overwhelmed. Even if nothing is directly happening in your life. And if you’re the one who’s used to: • holding everything together • staying aware • being “the strong one” You don’t just see what’s happening. You absorb it. That’s the part no one talks about. Because over time, all that input doesn’t just stay in your mind— it sits in your body. So if you’ve been feeling off lately… It’s not random. It’s accumulation. ✨ You’re allowed to pause ✨ You’re allowed to create space ✨ You’re allowed to not carry everything This is where peace begins. Save this—you’re not the only one feeling this. If this spoke to you, you already know why. Come sit with me on Wednesdays— that’s where I go deeper into how we actually build this kind of capacity in real life. [Join the Wellbeing Wednesday newsletter] And if you’re here for this kind of work, make sure you’re subscribed. This space is for the woman who leads powerfully… and is ready to feel just as supported as she looks. It started as something small… A delay. A minor issue. But suddenly— the energy shifted. Now you’re being blamed. Talked down to. Pulled into something that doesn’t even feel accurate. And if you’re the one who’s used to: • staying composed • keeping things professional • holding the situation together You don’t react. You absorb. You try to: → explain → fix → calm the situation Even when it’s not yours to fix. This is what projection can feel like. And over time, it becomes exhausting— because you’re carrying energy that was never yours. ✨ Not everything directed at you belongs to you ✨ You don’t have to absorb what isn’t yours ✨ You can stay grounded without taking it on That’s the shift. Save this for the next time you feel pulled into something that isn’t yours. #EmotionalIntelligence #Boundaries #WomenWhoLead #SelfAwareness #EverydaySuperheroes#HighAchievingWomen #EverydaySuperheroes #SelfGrowth #FaithAndHealing #SpiritualWellbeing #SpiritualGrowth #UnlockYourHeart #DreamSoulmate #FindTrueLove #TakeActionNow #LoveTransformation #lifemastery #lifestrategist #discover #Win If this resonated, come sit with us inside the Self Love for Superheroes – Wellbeing Wednesday newsletter, where we share grounded tools, reflections, and practices to support you in real life. 🎶✨ TURN YOUR LIGHTS DOWN LOW… DROP THE NEEDLE ON YOUR LIFE ✨🎶 Hand on my Cherry red Mustang record player… (yes, the one my fiancé gifted me 💛) and Lauryn Hill is playing… …and just like that—I had to pause. Because 13 years ago? Whew. 🎓 I didn’t just graduate— I’m proud to have graduated at the top of my program, with the equivalent of all A’s in my major in psychiatry & religion, grounded in holistic psychology + drama therapy through Columbia University & Union Theological Seminary. And let me say this clearly— We were THREE Black women who crossed that stage that year. ✊🏾✨ I don’t rush past that anymore. 💛 Swipe with me… this one’s personal ➡️ Me—now, still becoming ➡️ Mentors who shaped me (Dr. Cornel West, Dr. Sally MacNichol, & Dr. Hyun Chung 🙏🏾) ➡️ My grandmother + my mom… who saw me before the world did 💛 ➡️ Those long nights at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital ➡️ These records 🎶—gifts, memories, moments I had to come back and feel From 🇯🇲 Jamaica… to 🖤 Brooklyn… to 🗽 NYC… To becoming the woman who now mentors, leads, and creates space for others— Full. Circle. But here’s the real reason I’m sharing this… We don’t pause enough. Not when you’re high-achieving. Not when you’re “the strong one.” Not when life just keeps moving. So today—I did something different. I paused. I let the record play. I let myself feel it. ✨ I did that. ✨ I earned that. ✨ I became that. Now I want you in this with me 👇🏾 🎶 What’s on your playlist right now? 📀 Do you have a song that takes you back to a moment you’re proud of? 💭 When was the last time you actually paused and felt your wins? Don’t scroll past this—drop it below. I’m listening. 💬 🎶 Drop the needle on your life… and don’t skip your own greatness. 🎶 #GoddessFriday #DropTheNeedle #LaurynHillVibes #BlackWomenLead #CaribbeanExcellence #ColumbiaUniversity #UnionTheologicalSeminary #BrooklynRoots #EverydaySuperheroes #PauseAndCelebrate #LegacyInMotion #HolisticHealing #DramaTherapy #HighAchievingWomen ✨

Happy Friday Fam, and shout out to our members! One in particular: These are her real words— from her real experience. I used an AI actor to share them… but this? This is who she is now. She’s the woman who takes her time. Not because she has nothing to do— but because she no longer rushes herself through her own life. She creates space… on purpose. Moments like this—on the rooftop, in the quiet— where she can actually hear herself think. She’s not reacting to everything anymore. She’s choosing. What she carries. What she responds to. What she gives her energy to. And you can feel it. In how she moves. In how she speaks. In how she takes care of herself— without needing permission, without explaining it away. That didn’t come from doing more. That came from deciding her peace was no longer optional. That her life would reflect the clarity, the softness, and the success she knew was possible for her. If you’ve been feeling pulled toward this version of you— Come sit with us. You’re not stuck. But if you’re honest… there are parts of your life where you’ve stopped yourself. Not because you don’t know what to do. Not because you’re not capable. But because something about fully stepping into your next level… feels like it might cost you connection. It shows up quietly: “If I grow… will I still belong?” “If I choose differently… who does that make me?” And most people never name this part. They just feel the hesitation. The delay. The second-guessing. But there’s a reason it feels like that. Sometimes we stay loyal to patterns not because they serve us— but because they keep us connected. To family. To identity. To the version of ourselves that feels familiar… even when we’ve outgrown it. That’s what’s underneath it. And if you’ve been feeling that tension— like you’re ready for more, but something in you keeps pulling you back— I want you to watch this video. Not because you need more information— but because it might give language to something you’ve been carrying for a long time. And once you can see it clearly… you can start choosing differently. ✨ What I inherited → silence ✨ What I choose → expression ✨ What I inherited → fear ✨ What I choose → standing tall ✨ What I inherited → scarcity ✨ What I choose → abundance This is the work. Not surface-level change— but real internal shift. If you’re ready to stop carrying what was never yours… you can start here: / #Hashtags #InnerWork #WomenWhoLead #HealingJourney #SelfAwareness #GenerationalHealing #NervousSystem #PersonalGrowth #EverydaySuperheroes

What happens when women who are used to holding everything… finally give themselves space to slow down? Not collapse. Not disappear. Just… pause long enough to hear themselves again. One of the biggest shifts we witness isn’t dramatic. It’s honest. ✨ “I finally had space to think about what’s actually been bothering me.” ✨ “My body felt different… like I could actually exhale.” ✨ “It felt good to be around women who understood without me having to explain everything.” ✨ “I slowed down—and nothing fell apart.” Because when you’ve been moving at a pace your body can’t sustain… Slowing down doesn’t just feel unfamiliar— it can feel unsafe. Not because it is… but because you’ve been taught to keep going no matter what. To push through. To return to “normal.” To handle it. But your body has been asking for something different. More space. More honesty. More support. And when you finally give yourself that? You don’t lose momentum. You gain clarity. You reconnect to what actually matters. You start making decisions that don’t cost you your peace. That’s the shift. Not doing less for the sake of it— but creating a life your body can actually live in. If you’ve been feeling that pull to slow down in a different way… this is your confirmation that something deeper is ready to shift. #Hashtags #WomenWhoLead #EmotionalWellbeing #HealingJourney #SelfAwareness #InnerWork #NervousSystem #LeadershipGrowth #EverydaySuperheroes

“It was just a joke…” But your body doesn’t really do “just.” It registers tone. Energy. What was said… and what was meant. So when it happened— you felt that pause. Not confusion. Not overthinking. Just awareness. And almost immediately… you softened it. “Don’t overreact.” “Don’t make it awkward.” “Keep it moving.” Because you know how to do that. You know how to stay composed. You know how to be understanding. You know how to hold the moment together—even when something in you says, wait. And if you’re honest… this isn’t new. You’ve done the inner work. You’ve read the books. You’ve prayed on it. You’ve had the realizations. You know what alignment feels like. But real self-trust? It’s built in moments like this. Not when everything is clear— but when something is subtle… and you choose not to override yourself anyway. That’s the shift. ✨ Noticing without dismissing ✨ Feeling without explaining it away ✨ Honoring yourself in real time Because the woman you’re becoming… She doesn’t need ten more confirmations. She doesn’t need to crowdsource her intuition. She doesn’t need to stay in spaces that require her to shrink her awareness. She trusts herself— and builds her life from there. More honest relationships. More spacious time. More freedom to move, travel, and breathe. More room for her gifts to actually live. Not perform. Not prove. But live. Save this. Not as a reminder that something was wrong— but as a reminder that you were right. Behind the scenes of something deeper. Not just a team meeting. Not just growth. But a room full of people committed to holding space in a world that asks so much. Celebrating. Expanding. Building something that actually matters. This is what it looks like when you build from purpose— not pressure. When your life isn’t just about doing more… but being more grounded while you do it. ✨ Growth without burnout ✨ Expansion without losing yourself ✨ Success without self-sacrifice This is Love Medicine in real life. Stop overexplaining… Stop overexplaining your boundaries. It’s not making you clearer. It’s making you negotiable. You say no… and then follow it with a paragraph. Why? Because your body doesn’t feel safe holding the boundary on its own. So, you: → justify → soften → over-explain And your “no” slowly becomes a conversation… when it was meant to be a decision. This isn’t about confidence. It’s about capacity. And your body still feels stretched past what you truly have capacity for. You don’t need better words. You need a more supported nervous system. If you’re ready to start honoring your capacity— in a way that feels grounded, clear, and sustainable… Join us inside the Self Love for Superheroes – Wellbeing Wednesday newsletter for real-life tools, reflections, and practices you can actually use. No matter what the world tries to take… they can’t take who you are. 🖤 Not your rhythm. Not your spirit. Not your culture. Not your truth. In a world that can feel loud with hate, distortion, and pressure to shrink — we come back to ourselves. ✨ The beat of the drum ✨ The movement in our bodies ✨ The food, the culture, the joy ✨ The quiet moments that remind us who we’ve always been This is why we pause. This is why we honor ourselves. This is why we take our power back. You can try to rewrite the narrative… but you can’t erase the truth. I stay rooted. I stay whole. I stay with me. Happy Goddess (Selfcare) Day. 🤍 📖 The Gospel of the Good Girl Detox is here to help you release what’s been holding you back and step fully into your glow up. #BlackExcellence #CulturalPride #IdentityMatters #StayRooted #SelfLove #HealingJourney #MelaninMagic #Resilience #SoulCare #WomenWhoLead #EverydaySuperheroes #OwnYourPower #Authenticity #CelebrateYourself
