Educational support is one of ASK’s three pillars of support—alongside financial assistance and community & connections—for children with cancer and their families across Virginia.
Cancer can greatly impact a child’s education at any age: from time out of school, a transition back to the classroom, or effects from treatment that make learning more challenging. ASK provides educational support from preschool through high school and the transition to adulthood. We are here to make sure your child has the extra help they need.

Meet Tammy! 💛
Tammy is ASK’s Community Coordinator in Fredericksburg, and she helps families like ASK kid Ava and her siblings stay connected to learning through ASK’s tutoring program. ✏️
ASK offers in-person and virtual tutoring for children with cancer and their siblings, helping families navigate treatment while making sure kids can continue learning in ways that fit their unique needs.
With Tammy’s support, families have one less thing to worry about, and kids can keep learning, growing, and simply being kids along the way. 💛
