When we began planning our wedding we knew DMS was a a necessary part of it!
We feel so lucky to have had Ashley by our side throughout the process. The months leading up she was on top of everything and assisting with our vendors. Helping us perfect the timeline of the day was invaluable to the wedding planning process and assisted all of
our vendors once it came time to do our walkthrough.
Ashley was really a shining star on the wedding day. We knew we had nothing to worry about because she had everything under control. All our vendors were so grateful for her communication and organization.
The day went off without a hitch and we will forever be grateful to Ashley & help from Daneska from DMS for that!

remember, another woman’s shine does not dim your own … it actually lights up the whole room so we all get some 👏🏼
& never forget, the future is being built by women still figuring it out, so alwaysssssss give grace 💗
last friday was poetry in real time
a room
a rhythm
a feeling
a blues in one moment
&& funk in the next
voices cracked open, eyes locked across the room, people leaned in a little closer than they expected
we might’ve curated the feeling, but the room, the people … did the rest
from conversation cards that’s sparked something
to love notes written and left behind
from the music and lighting to the entire flow of the room … every detail was intentional & a special part of me I don’t often get to share
&& this is why I do what I do, not just to plan events, but to design moments that people can feel
I even got to share my own words and be held by the very experience I helped shape (more on that later)
this is the kind of work I want to keep doing and I’m so grateful for every single person who made that night what it was
to our poets, our sponsors, our venue, our community … thank you ❤️
this one truly meant something and 2026 has only just begun!

A Night to Exhale was a full bodied vibe!! A true love letter to sisterhood, storytelling and soft landings.
I had the pleasure of leading programming + experience engagement for an intimate group of women under the Manhattan skyline. From curated trivia and sensory activations to the top-tier charcuterie spread I threw down myself—every detail was designed to help us laugh, sip and really exhale together 😌
This night reminded me why I do what I do … to create more spaces for Black people to be soft, loud, seen held and everything in between!
So here’s to more ease, more connection and more collective exhales because we all deserve it 😮💨

sometimes you gotta burn it all down and rebuild a new because when you remember who you are, the game changes

In May I said goodbye to my grandfather … a man who didn’t speak a word of Spanish, but swore salsa music was made just for him. A man who treated every mustang like it was gold and every moment like it mattered.
In June, I got to meet so many people whose lives he impacted forever. I learned that his loud stubbornness was the very thing people really needed in their lives. I spent some of my last moments in his cherished baby, Spirit 3.0 (ITKYK), & enjoyed many a games nights with my family.
It’s funny to think about the June I originally planned vs the June I actually lived. I really had to get comfortable doing less & so I walked away from a few opportunities I was really excited about, but knew I had no capacity for. And I’m happy to say that doing less actually made space for me to embrace more. More time with my loved ones, more time to turn inward & more time to celebrate moments that really mattered.
& while I plan to touch base on all the reasons June brought me happy tears … I couldn’t genuinely do so without first honoring all the tears of sorrow.
But please know, this isn’t a sad post. It’s a love letter. One with rhythm, soul & a lot of two-stepping.
I know that no matter what, whenever I need my grandpa, I can find him in the music, always 🤍
Ashley & Kyle’s day was such a dream yesterday - her vision was nothing short of bright, colorful and so groovy….Groovy Garden she called and it did not miss!👌🏽
