#Ad For the first time since diagnosis, we got on a plane and left for a few days. My parents stepped in to care for our son and his type 1 diabetes â the nighttime checks, the lows, the constant decisions.
It takes a lot of trust to hand that over. But technology like Omnipod 5 gave us something we didnât have before: a little breathing room. Knowing the system was helping made it possible for us to step away for the first time.

this isnât just about physical appearance and embracing that youâre part cyborg.
itâs how one chooses to live with type one diabetes.
and how having the right people around you matters a lot more than you think.
