Sweet little coffee date with an old friend this morning. Had to map myself to Liberace’s place to remember how to get there. Lots of celebs have moved to the neighborhood since I was last there (not to mention your sweet mama 😢). We say hi every time we pass by on the 134 but it sure was nice to stop and spend some quality time with you in your little corner of the world. And on your birthday no less! Feliz Cumpleaños Pikul. ❤️❤️❤️

My mother never got to meet Eden but she once came to me in a dream and told me to “Enjoy every day walking in the sun with her.” Anyway, that’s what i’ve been doing. Thanks mom! And Happy Valentine’s Day Eden!

My album of the year! As someone who used to be in a band called Panty Lions, I’m obviously a big fan of awful band names. This band (and album) is called Disiniblud. And, yes, that’s Falcor on the cover. It’s not my typical fare but maybe that’s why I never grow tired of it. It’s glitchy and weird but also dreamy and warm, reminding me at different times of Cocteau Twins, Sigur Ros, Dntel, and Life Without Buildings—all bands I love. I caught them live recently and was mostly befuddled. I miss being befuddled by music. Anyway, I don’t think they got the attention they deserved this year so I’m doing my little part to spread the word. Love to y’all. Happy jolly days. (Who else should I be listening to???)
