For our latest digital feature, we caught up with Samantha Brown (@samantha.brown.__ ) who joined Season 3 of the horror series @fromonmgm as Acosta, one of the town’s newest and most skeptical arrivals. Now, returning for Season 4, Samantha steps back into the role with a deeper understanding of both the character and the world she inhabits: “When Acosta first arrived, she was scared, disoriented and very guarded, holding tightly to her moral convictions and struggled to trust anyone or anything around her. This season, we see her shift. She begins to adjust to the reality of the town in meaningful ways, becoming more vulnerable, letting her guard down and slowly opening herself up to the people around her. Hello! I thought it was about time I’d show my face on the grid! Wazzzuuuup Okay now that I’ve officially dated myself with that reference (and for those who don’t know, it was from Scary Movie. We would imitate this saying for WAY to long with our friends… ah what a magical time). I’m Ashley! A photographer and actor here in Vancouver! I’ve been in the headshot game for over 8 years and I’ve been a professional actor for over 14 years. So I GET what it feels like to be in photoshoot hoping we ‘get the shot’ that’s going to skyrocket my career to the next level and also worrying about what I’m doing with my hands. That’s why I pride myself on creating a comfortable and empowering space so you can fully step into the best version of yourself! Random facts, because why not; 1. I am obsessed with the show Friends. Still watch it everyday before going to bed. And have PLENTY of Friends memorabilia in my home. 2. I love leopard print… I guess that’s an obvious one with the pictures above. I truly am a mix of all the female characters on friends… but my style is definitely Janice. And I AM HERE FOR IT. 3. I’m a Scorpio — some can say that means that I’m intense and highly emotional. *Cue deciding to become an actor*. Seems fitting now that you know right? 4. I STILL listen to late 1990’s and early 2000’s music like it came out yesterday. Britney, BSB, Christina, Ace of Base, Old Shania, Spice girls, JayZ, Eminem and the list goes on. I do listen to other stuff too…sometimes. 5. I love to devour Podcasts. Some of my favorites @manifestationbabe , @jasminestar , @jameswedmore , @armchairexppod and @smartless . 6. I love Coffee. I am basically Lorelei Gilmore. Yes— that is another 2000’s reference… maybe I should go to therapy and talk about this. 7. I love to travel. Dream role would be a sitcom/rom-com that intertwines all of my favorite shows. Friends meets Gilmore Girls meets The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel meets Brooklynn 99 meets the Office meets Jane the Virgin.
