Teaming up with @chil.key , I'm happy to bring you two fantastic prebuilt keyboards - the Chilkey ND TKL and ND75 LP! Both boards sport anodized and e-coated colours, two 1800 mAh batteries for long-lasting portability, a full set of switches, stabilizers, and keycaps pre-installed so that you can take the board out of the box, plug it in, and be ready to go right away! If you want to change up any of the internals, both boards use magnets to connect the top and bottom cases, and can be easily removed and re-attached! The primary differences between the projects are the size, profile, and a couple other smaller elements. The ND75 LP, short for Low Profile, offers up a much thinner profile in a 75% layout with a nice little LCD screen to customize your setup further. Group buy ends November 13th, 2024 with a Q1 2025 estimate for fulfillment. The Neo75 Cu is a phenomenal board showcasing precise machining with difficult materials and configuration galore! It took them over six months to refine the machining to be able to CNC both brass and copper at the level of detail and quality they have. Compared to aluminum alloy, brass and copper produce a more solid and clean sound, though at a lower volume. To address this issue and ensure consistent typing sound across the keyboard, they've added an aluminum battery compartment and four stainless steel internal weights. These design elements, combined with the ball-catch structure and their innovative gaskets, maximize the unique sound profile that a copper bottom can deliver. Retaining the ball-catch structure and the pogo pin/magnetic connector combo the last few Neo boards have included, the Neo75 Cu also features a new isolated bottom mount design. They've innovatively combined gasket and bottom mount by wrapping the mounting screws with gaskets. This modification eliminates unwanted noise caused by direct contact between internal components and the case. It also ensures that the copper bottom's distinctive acoustic properties are fully expressed. As the centerpiece of the design, @ne0_kb wanted to showcase the copper bottom from every angle. To achieve this, they crafted a curved facet on the side, revealing the copper base between the top case and the battery compartment. This striking color contrast is also visible from the back and front side. On the back, a circular accent badge serves as the design's focal point, highlighting the Neo75's design theme.
