Kig engang på Ashes of Billys pressefoto og forestil dig, hvordan tre ungersvende, hvis teenageår endnu ikke er i bakspejlet mon tackler grungen, der både har nået at være stor og stort set uddø igen… længe før nogen af dem blev født. Godt. Pak så din skepsis langt væk og lyt engang til den seneste single ‘Rediscover’, hvor Ashes of Billy virkelig viser, hvor skabet skal stå. 🤘🤘
Daniel Aabenhus Hermann, Anton Stampe og Johan Borgaa har nemlig, trods deres unge alder, så godt styr på deres virkemidler, at man skulle tro, at mangen en salig 90’er-rockhelgen må have hjemsøgt trekløverets drømme som musikalske spøgelses-muser. Men Ashes of Billy er mest af alt bare tre unge drenge, der er enige om, at guitarrocken ikke bør ligge og ruste i jorden som en anden begravet stridsøkse. Fem singler alene i 2025, og en stribe meget omtalte optrædener på blandt andet SPOT Festival, Jelling og ikke mindst Copenhell viser, at Ashes of Billy også har spandevis af talent til at bakke ambitionen op.

Sweden Rock-debuterande Ashes of Billy från Roskilde spelar en blandning av grunge, metal och punk, influerad av såväl 90-talets Seattle som deras danska landsmän D-A-D och Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. Sedan starten 2022 har trion släppt tre EP:s och ett antal singlar som ”Bleed”, ”Never gonna get me” och ”Rediscover”. Och, inte minst, har de turnerat flitigt och gjort sig kända för sin intensiva liveshow – en bidragande orsak till deras växande popularitet.

Sweden Rock debutantes Ashes of Billy from Denmark combine grunge, metal and punk, influenced by the Seattle scene of the 90s as well as their Danish countrymen D-A-D and Dizzy Mizz Lizzy.
