🇮🇹 HEAVENFALL — Thorn - 2026
Heavy/power melancólico desde el país de la bota: tras casi una década en silencio, Heavenfall vuelve con un disco que retoma con fuerza su particular visión del heavy clásico, con ecos de Nevermore, Iced Earth y el lado más sombrío de unos Brainstorm.
🌧️ No hay espacio para medias tintas: “Thorn” apuesta por riffs sólidos, atmósfera densa y un equilibrio medido entre melodía y sombras. La producción es clara pero con la aspereza justa, encajando con el tono introspectivo y algo amargo del álbum.
🎙️ Dest juega en dos carriles: voz limpia con fuerza y emoción que por momentos se rompe en registros más ásperos sin llegar al extremo, ideal para quienes disfrutan del power melódico pero también de líneas más modernas. Pave y Giò se reparten riffs pesados y pasajes más técnicos, Nick mantiene un bajo presente y Panta remata con una batería llena de cambios y acentos que empujan cada giro.
🎧 “Squall-led” entra como torbellino: heavy directo, estribillo contundente y ese punto de tensión que marca el disco. Por su parte,“Sudden Zenith” muestra el lado más dinámico y ganchero, y luego“No Candlelight” se disfraza de balada antes de revelarse como medio tiempo áspero.
Enseguida, “This Illusion” y “Left Apart” juegan con pausas y explosiones bien dosificadas. “Lingering Under the Acid Rain” respira aire épico y oscuro que remitirá a Iced Earth, “Midnightingale” puede ser la más pegadiza del lote y “Stramonium” cierra en clave larga, progresiva y enigmática, pensada para escuchar con calma.
Un disco que no va a lo fácil, que pide atención con capas de detalle, recompensando quien le dé más de una vuelta. Interesantísimo lo de estos italianos.
